Question about KTM Motorcycles
I need the amount in litres to fill the gearbox with oil, can anyone help, please? @

Initially, determine if there is a clicking sound when the START button is pressed. The click is significant. If there is, this indicates that the starting relay is engaging but for some reason, the starter motor is not cranking. Your problem is coming from the waterpump seal. When the seal goes bad it lets oil from the crankcase into the waterpump and vise versa. The only other problem it could be is the head gasket but you would feel a loss of power.

There is a pipe at the rear of the of the oil run that is connected to the frame. unfasten it on the frame and the oil will drain. There are no plugs at the bottom of the Sportsters.

I use just under a quart however there is on most bikes a number near the filler plug on the case it will have the letters cc next to it this is cubic centimeters of liquid go to the metric to standard conversion chart on the web to find the metric to standard conversion to be absolutely sure of the exact amount for your bike.
