I checked the carb jet, clean. Flushed and cleaned the gas tank. checked the spark plug. it starts up fine, dies after getting to about half throttle. then wont start for about a minute. then starts right up and repeats this. i need to get this baby running asap to get to work and back, any ideas?

try the wires from the coils as when you constantley rub them back and forwards when changing plugs for instance, mine became worn and i cud get the bike to run on 3 cylinders then 4 simply by bending one of the 4 coil wires

You will have to clean the carburator, blow the jets with compressed air, check the float level too and reset.
Good luck.

Some articles I have read suggest removing the stock auto-choke carb and replacing it with a Honda CT70 Carb. Check with a local shop to verify, I do not own either and am just passing along the info.
Another solution suggested by 'OneRide': Try it with the gas cap off. The tank vent might be plugged. Possibly plugged fuel filter. Are you using the choke correctly?
This seems to be a very common problem and no 'one' solution to fix it.
I hope this helps.

if you are getting gas, it's probably too much. is it flooding the motor. make sure your float level height is okay and that your float needle valve assembly is clean and not sticking. if you have an electronic choke, try disconnecting it. it might be malfunctioning. also a possibility your valves need to be adjusted.

hi,sounds to me like the air fuel ratio is all up the ***,locate the air/fuel screw on the carb(normally on the side)screw the screw right in untill it stops, then back the screw out 1.5 turns, this should get the bike to run without the choke, once you have the bike running simply turn the screw in or out untill the bike settles into a nice steady idle, should be good to go,hope this helps...cheers
