Switch issue I have a BMW K 1220 LT . The bike is in great condition and runs like a champ but has a strange problem that I would like to correct if I could without taking her to the shop. If i turn the bike off with the kill switch, when I turn it back on and try to start it, I get nothing. The power stays on but I get nothing from the starter. I have to turn the kill switch on and off a bunch of times then it will start again. Usually this just happens if I use the kill switch, but last night it did it to me without touching the kill switch at all. I just had to turn the switch on and off a bunch of times to get her to start. I don't want this to one day get me stranded so any ideas I would greatly appreciate. Thanks a bunch. - Forest Ayers

There are two solutions to your problem. First remove and disassemble the switch housing. Clean and adjust the switch contacts. Reassemble and reinstall the switch housing. Second, tale it to a shop.

Changed battery lights and all electrics on but bike wont start

he range of issues are to great starting with fuel. Try to spray the air box or carbs with starting fluid, check spark, check clutch safety switch, check kickstand switch, if engine is cranking excessively fast it may be a timing chain issue. Hope this helps!!!
