Hi Ken,
There is much to adjust and many things to maintain on a motorcycle. Plugs, oil filters, fork oil, engine oil, air filters, valve lash, chain, brakes, cables...the width of your wallet :) It is the best fun ever though!!

SOURCE: will only run with full choke and absolutely no throttle.
Carbs gummed up. Need a serious cleaning or a full ruubers replacement/rebuild kit. Gas turns to gummy when left stting in the fuel bowls.
Use a couple of cans of Sea Foam.. best stuff in the world.
SOURCE: bike will not idle witout having choke on a bit
I have a supermagna and used fuel stablizer once and it wasnt fit it gummed my carbs up,ive cleaned mine often and it isnt rocket science, remove the tank airbox assembly, loosen up the boot flanges that hook the carbs to the motor(ones on carb)then remove the carbs, then the cables, choke and throttle,do not remove carbs from assembly(leave all 4 together)remove the bottoms and tops of a carb, removefloat and jet, then remove all the brass jets and clean them so you can see through holes,,blow out all the holes in carbs, and reasemble, works for me every time, about two hours to do,good luck
SOURCE: 98 CBR F3 doesn't stay running w/o choke on
There seems to be fuel starvation to the carbs.
Check the fuel filter and the petcock, not bad too to clean the carb/s.
SOURCE: cbr 600 f3 will not start
wow, 7 years without use! try to check if the fuel pump motor is still working... also check the fuel lines if its clogged.. I hope you get your bike up and running again... feel that adrenaline rush when going 100+mph.. hehehe.. have a good one bro...

I have never cleaned carbs before how hard is itI
Getting the carbs off and on is the hard part.
There is not a lot going on under those bowls so just take the bowl off, Clean out the green gack, unscrew whatever Brass things (jets) with slots that are in there and make sure they are clean. put back together. If you can keep the Multi Carburetor assembly all together and get at the bowls. That's great. Some bikes, you have to split them and the fun begins.
Look at the third picture as to what's inside.http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-1988-CBR60...
See those two Slotted things? those are the Jets, unscrew and clean.
Put you finger down the AIRBOX side of the Carburetor and make sure the Black circles with the steel rod on it moves ( they are called Sliders). They are viewed in the first picture on the far left. No reason to take then out. Looks like you will need a Torx with the hole in the center to get the Bowls off.
Oh, and these are In-Line so you can get at the bowls without disassembly the whole assembly. much easier..
