SOURCE: rev counter falling below 1000rpm when warm, nearly stalling

If this is a 1.8 petrol model then the idling adjuster/throttle stop screw needs to be adjusted.Slight adjustment can be done without a diagnostic tool ,loosen the lock nut holding the throttle screw found near the throttle cable, adjust this in clockwise to increase revs.

SOURCE: Self-adjusting idle brain often idles 1500-2000rpm range.

Faulty oxygen sensor or low fuel pressure can also cause these codes to be set. I'd go for a fuel pressure test when acting up if at all possible just to confirm I have pressure needed. Have heard of coil problems as well. Should be a good blue 1" min. spark from coil.

SOURCE: RACING IDLE

you may have to take it to the dealer and have them hook it up to the computer im a harley tech and usally when that happens its the tps sensor getting a false readind bc of an insufficent mapping due to adding on pipes filter or power commanders etc.they may have to get you a new tps sensor or may be able to give you another stock recalibration for the ecm due to the weather

1994 chrsyler lhs high idle problem

Disconnect the idle speed control valve (located at the throttle body) and see if the idle drops off or the engine stalls out completely. If the idle remains high you have a large engine vacuum leak, use a can of carburetor spray and spray around the top of the engine to locate it.

I just brought a 91! Accord ex. It needs alot of work I am having a problem with the idle its about 2000rpm adjusted but can't get it down please help

usually a high idle condition is caused by a large vacuum leak.start engine open hood an put ur ear in the engine compartment, listen for any loud sucking sounds ,wiggle vacuum hoses an listen for a change in the sucking noise, usually a telltale sign that youve found it wen the noise changes.also u could have a bad idle air control motor which adjusts an keeps idle around a 1000rpm at idle.i highly recommend gettn ur engines computer scanned for any related codes. a good basis to start ur correct path to diagnosing ur idle issues. good luck hope this helps

Oil pressure is around 15 at 1000rpm and just

Probably not. You can run 'high mileage oil' which helps some and running 10/40 oil instead of 10/30 will help also. Replacing the oil pump and cleaning the intake screen might help too.

2003 Ultra Classic. Above 2000RPM, the volt meter gauge pegs past 16, the odometer blinks, the speedo jumps back and forth, the red engine light comes on and the radio cuts in and out. At idle or below...

Dont do that, your voltage regulator is faulty. It is in the alternator. Max charging voltage should be 14.2 and min 13.6v. Chk battery water level. but get an alternator 4 sure

!991 FZR 1000 Idle normal when cool, High when hot(2-3,000)

Sounds like you need the carbs cleaned and synchronized, then the idle set once the bike warms up. May also have a cracked intake boot, or a vacuum line off.
