High-beam indicator does not work

The blue dash-light that indicates when the high beams are on does not work. Consequently I go down the road with the high beams on and don't know it until someone flashes their high-beams at me.

What's the deal? Tell me the whole dash does not have to come apart.

Sorry but the gauges have to be removed to replace the globe. Not the whole dash though, just the gauge surround and gauges only have to be pulled out far enough to get your hand in to change the globe.Good luck

2005 Ford Focus ZX3 SES, the blue high beam indicator in the dash comes on with low beams, and goes off with high beams. The indicator is on at the wrong time! I have tried the following: The turn signal...

It sounds like you are confused about how your headlamp system is supposed to work. The DRL does not run on the High beam circuit, it runs on the low beam circuit. The fog lamps are supposed operate with the park lamps and also with the low beams, not the high beams. From your description, I would say that your system is operating as designed and you are having trouble telling High from Low. (Don't feel bad, that is why high beam indicators were invented in the first place.)

Low beam ok, spotties ok , high beam not working

It sounds like you have a contact problem in the column switch or the high beam relay.

High beam headligts will not come on + no dash

Sounds like a bad switch to me. If it was a relay,it would not work period. Not to mention, the switch controls the dash lights too.
