Rough ride rides real rough

Being that it is a one ton I would expect it to ride rough. It is made for hauling a heavy load. If you want to improve ride quality you will loose hauling capacity unless you spend the money for an air ride suspension system.

ride control has gone out and is in default mode.any time a problem is found it goes to this setting untill repaired. ride control module,ride sensors all need cked.

If those wheels are low-profile, they would ride rough by design, having less flexibility to insulate the bumps of the road.

Really depends on if you have an air-ride electric pump or not. Otherwise there is no connection between ride and electric performance. Be like blaming the radio for a rough ride.

You can get your car scanned for free at Autozone, Advance, or Oreilys. Ask for a charging system check.

Check your tire pressure, shock absorbers and front-end alignment.

I would check your tire pressure, if your running 60 psi it's going to be a bumpy ride, lower the air pressure to 35 psi and see if it makes a differance, does the truck move up and down when you jump on the bumpers or is it stiff ?

At a certain point in a truck/car's life, the gas that is in the shocks, or the fluid, starts to degrade, or seep away, at which point it is horrendously ineffective at cushioning out those potholes before they reach your rump. It sounds like shock replacement time.

try some seafoam from Autozone 1/3 can to two gallon gas...ride it for about 10 miles see if it"ll clear up. also drain out fuel filter and fill it with seafoam before you ride it. can i get some feed back thanks.

Wow I have a 2001 and it rode very rough but here is what my problem was it had both engine mounts broke down to nothing and now for real if I changned them it is a very smooth ride now !! Might check into that !
