SOURCE: changing oil on 2003 electra glide

I don't blame you for wanting to do this yourself. Be sure to use a harley filter and harley oil.

Drain the oil, replace o ring on drain plug, replace drain plug, remove oil filter, fill oil filter with 20/50 harley davidson oil and replace filter being careful not to overtighten, fill oil tank with the bike upright to the fill line on the dipstick. Take the bike for a short ride and check the fluid level while warm.

SOURCE: Front fork seal is leaking

Yep, drain the fork oil, raise the front wheel in the air, remove the front wheel and axle. The nut to remove the lower leg is at the bottom, hidden by the axle. If it still leaks after seal replacement your fork tubes and lower leg sliders are worn out. Reassemble and remove the top fork cap. Pour in the correct cc of fork oil and ride.

SOURCE: where is drain

The Electra glide bikes usually have the oil tank on the bottom of the transmission. On the bottom of the oil, there are two drain plugs. The one in the center is the transmission drain. The one on the left side a bit forward is the oil drain.

SOURCE: no oil pressure for my 2005 Harley-Davidson Ultra

camplate check valve sticking, good time for an upgrade SEcamplate, hydraulic camchain tensioners, high volume oil pump, comes as complete kit for about $420. add another $150 for adjustable pushrods and never worry about it again,or replace the existing component youd save maybe $180 bucks but youll be back
thats why they changed the camplate and tensioners in 07, I just did the complete conversion on an 02 heritage it costed with labor about 1100 in your case your looking at 7 to 800 dollars just to get you going for another 30 or 40,000 miles or less and then do it again Im for a 1 time fix myself

2013 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Limited normal oil pressure

15 psi would be around normal at idle ( depending on the idle rpm of around 650-700) with up to 40 psi at 2000 rpm
loosing oil is a requirement to check for sump leaks (front or rear main seals or rocker cover gaskets )
Burning oil however is a different set of indicators that may indicate
bad valve stem seals, worn rings and increased compression blow by and a possible big end bearing problem that is allowing excessive oil onto an oil control ring causing excessive oil burn . That may account for the low oil pressure if the book states that it should be higher at the recommended rpm for idle
It could be that you need to use a 20w 30 grade oil rather than a 15 w 20 grade oil to see if that helps with the oil loss / pressure problem

2005 ultra classic low oil pressure and making tapping noise. Is changing oil and filter likely to be a fix? Just got the bike a week ago has 25000 miles

The engine is sensitive to oil weight and quality of oil due to the valves lifter being hydraulic lifters. Yes changing the oil could help. Lifter may have failed. Oil pump my have failed.

The front spark plug is fouling out

Look at the plug carefully and determine exactly what is fouling the plug. Is it gasoline or oil. If it's oil, you've probably got a bad valve stem seal. If it's gasoline, you've got an intake problem such as a vacuum leak on the rear cylinder.
