Question about 2005 KTM 250 SX

Open Question

I have fire gas and compression but will not start. Even tried pushing it off what am I missing. Its a KTM 250

SOURCE: Has low compression of 75 is a 1989 KTM 250 EXC

So check yr cyl head gasket sealing and valve states, perhaps it needs adjustment or cleaning.

If you have run the engine with too little oil then there is probably damage to the piston / rings & / or bore
Remove the exhaust to have a look

I HAVE A 2008 KTM 250 SXF , I HAVE REPLACED THE WATER PUMP KIT AND GIVEN THE BIKE A SERVICE, NEW SPARK PLUG, OIL AND OIL FILTER AND EVEN REPLACED THE RADIATOR HOSES AND THE T-PIECE THROUGH THE YOKE AS...
could be a faulty spark plug or the wrong one.

2003 cavalier missing on cylinder 2

2005 KTM 250 4 stroke. Gets spark to the plug. Carb is clean and seems fine. Fuel is flowing. Bike cranks fine with now issues. Kicks fine with no issues feels good as it always has. the bike will...
Do a compression test, you could have bent a valve.

Have a 1999 ktm 65 sx we have spark and its getting gas but cannt get it to fire can u please help us.
Does she seam to have good compression? The standard rules apply, fuel, spark/timing, compression. If you have fuel in the chambers and you believe the spark is right, next worry is compression. How good are the rings. If she has been sitting for a time the piston / rings may still be a bit dry or maybe a bit stuck. mix a bit of gas with a bit of oil and again squirt into the cylinders, or use wd40; down the spark plug hole and spin the engine, and let it sit a bit before trying to start it. . That is about all you can do to find out what is going on. Be sure you are getting fuel into the chambers, get a syringe and spray it in past the throttle valves.

I have a ktm sxf 250 2006 model and when its hot it is very hard to kick start even with start assist spray and sometimes will not but it will roll start and also when you are at top of each gear mainly...
Using "Easy Start" or other ether based engine starting aerosols will damage the engines in the long run, reducing compression due to engine wear as the aerosol removes the oil traces off the engine bore and stripping the aluminiun from the pistons. If it were an old diesel engine, not a problem.
Check your petrol mixture settings and compression. As if the compression is low it will be hard to start.

176psi is fine... I have been a factory trained Yamaha for 43 years...I have seen engines run fine with 90psi..(not racing engines).. Compression is a good indicator of overall top condition of an engine. Compression Ratio is different than compression psi. Now that you have established your baseline.. you want to maintain it!!
....If you want the engine to last.. run at least a 28:1 OIL/FUEL ratio.. even a 24:1 or 20:1 is better *... settle on a ratio and RUN this ratio at ALL times... if you are fouling plugs.. get a PROFESSIONAL that KNOWS how to "jet" an engine.. you should be able to drop the main jet one size..and maybe raise the needle jet clip UP one groove..this will lean out the mixture to the correct FUEL/AIR ratio and you won't foul spark plugs and the engine will LAST a LOT longer.. >> ... *Remember..the two-cycle oil you mix with the gas ALSO lubricates the main crankshaft bearings and the rod bearings.. (replacing those are $$$$$!!)

2003 KTM 250 SX won't start. When you kick it, it starts to fire but never turns over. I accidently put the wrong gas in it. It takes 60:1 but I didn't put enough oil in it. It died while I was riding it....

I CANT SEEM TO START MY BIKE 250 KTM 2 STROKE
check to see if it is firingif it`s not firing it`s probably the coiland if it`s firing check to see if it`s easier to crank over than usual if so then there is no compression in which case u may have a big problem but i doubt that`s the problem 9 times out of ten when a bike wont start it`s the fire or maybe u forgot to turn the gas off and it`s flooded if u want to know if it`s flooded take out the spark pluge put a lighter by the hole and crank it over and u might be able to dry it out like that too

stuck in gear 1999 KTM 250 SX I have a 1999 KTM 250sx. It is stuck in gear and will not change gears. No clicking sound when shifting up or down. Also, the bike will not roll freely when the clutch lever is pulled in. I got the bike used and it has always had the clutch issue since I've had it but it seems worse now since it stops shifting gears. What could be the problem? @
