How to remove stock mirrors from v star 650 - 2000 Yamaha V Star Custom

Drill off the security bolt heads with a 1/4" drill then mole grip the remaining bolt out

There's large nut at the top of each fork... be careful removing them, there's a spring on the other side (in the tubes)!!!!
Loosen the pinch bolts of the upper tree first to release tension on the tubes.

From what I recall, they are accessed by removing the seat.

Take off the Pillion seat to reveal the nut for the driver's seat. Remove this and then you should have exposed the coils (amongst other things).

Sell your 650 and buy an 1100 . They are two completely different bikes and will not interchange.
