SOURCE: replace rear brake pads

Remove right saddlebag, pull the two caliper mounting bolts and remove the caliper. Do not open bleeder or disconnect line. You will need to push a large screwdriver between the old pads before removing them in order to push the pucks back into the caliper or the new pads will not spread enough to reinstall. Then pull the two smaller bolts from the caliper and the pads will fall out. The pads are different for inside and outside, so pay attention, and remember, after reinstalling, before riding, be sure to pump brake pedal, and it may take a few stops before brakes stop as effectively as before.

SOURCE: adjust clutch cable

If you have a stock cable you need a 9/16 and a 1/2 in. wrench. about 1/2 way downn the cable there is a rubber boot. pull the rubber boot over the adjustment. Loosen the liock nut and adjust the cable so you have aprox 1/8 to 1/16 in. slack in the handle. Re tighten the lock nut and pull the rubber back over the adjustment.

SOURCE: How do I change the front and rear brakes on a

Not too hard - Undo the two bolts on the caliper and then seperate the caliper and pull the old ones out. Insert the new ones and put the bolts back in to hold the caliper back together and then install them back on the bike with the two retaining bolts. Use a bit of lock tight (Blue) on the threads. Warning do not let anyone apply pressure on the brakes while you have them off the bike or you will have a mess and/or a problem.

Fuel gauge stays pegged out what's wrong

Make sure the float isn't caught on the side of the tank. If it's not, chances are the gauge itself is bad. Also make sure the connection under the tank is good.

My gas gage stays on full when i start the bike , when i turn off the bike it goes down to emty

If you will contact me directly, I'll send you some information about the fuel gauge and how it works. I cannot do it here as this forum only allows for picture files of 150 Kb in size. Contact me at [email protected] and remind me of what you need.

Good Luck

The fuel gauge indicator will peg on full when the bike is turned on, but will then swing erratically as the bike is ridden. The bike is an '02 Electra Glide Standard.

If you will contact me directly at [email protected] I'll send you a complete trouble shooting guide to a fuel gauge. It's for Dyna Wide Glide but it should be the same gauge just mounted a bit different. Don't forget to remind me of what you need.

Good Luck
