Question about 2010 kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Voyager

1 Answer

2010 kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Voyager engine noise

There is engine noise coming from my 2010 Kawasaki Vulcan Voyager that sounds like a loose chain. At 8700 mile could this be the cam chains? From about 1500 to 2300 rpms there is a clattering noise apparently from the cylinders. When I asked a salesman, he said it was because I was lugging the motor. I think the cam chains need adjustment. If this is true, Kawasaki is it a warranty issue? @

SOURCE: gas tank

I'm pretty sure it does. I own a 1995 Vulcan and I bought a 2003 tank and looked at the mounting brackets and fuel connections all looked to be the same - but don't put this in stone. I haven't been able to put it on yet because it's still out being painted. There should be no difference in the fuel tank mounts from 1996-1005, but as always, check with a professional if this information is critical.

Ok ,under the carbs there is an adjustment tha can be made. It stands out about 2 in. just below and centers the carbs. It has a bolt head that you can turn to change the tention. If this does not fix the problem then you need to remove the valve cover and check the guides and top tesioner slide for wear. Hope this helps

2010 Kawasaki VN 1700 Voyager service manual

Hi, Anonymous the vast majority of service, parts fiche, and owners manuals on the internet are "FREE" to download and all service manuals contain wiring diagrams in the back pages. The rest usually charge a modest fee around $15 and there is a handful of obscure, rare, obsolete, and very old models that are no longer or never were available, for these rare occasions I shall look on eBay and find the cheapest one available. Most of the manuals will cover your exact make, model, and year otherwise one will be provided that comes as close as possible to your bike and will have most of the same info that an exact manual would have. If there is no $ sign after the manual link it is free to download for viewing or printing. To download your manual please click on the blue links below. Good luck and have a wonderful day

2010 Kawasaki VN 1700 Voyager fog lights not working

Hi, Anonymous if your spotlights/passing lights are not working and the lights work when connected a 12-volt battery, you have a wiring or switch issue and the usual suspects are:
1. Faulty ground or power supply wire to the spotlight.
2. Worn, chafed, or broken wires in the light circuit.
3. Corroded, broken, or loose pins/sockets in wire connectors.
4. Faulty hi/low beam switch.
5. Fuse is good but no continuity on both sides.
6. Faulty wiring between battery positive and the spotlight switch.
