The oil seal on the water pump is bad. You will have to remove the front cover to replace the seal. K & L makes a gasket kit for your machine that has all the gaskets and seals to repair the leak for around $25 US. You may want to replace the water pump ($125) at the same time. That should guarantee that you will never have to take the front cover off again.

Engine water leak coming out a hole on aprilia rs 125 cc

Hi, is this the weep hole on the water impellor cover? If it is you will need to replace the seals within the water pump itself, it is designed like this, aNy water leaking past the seals will exit via the weep hole, without this the water would contaminate the oil inside the gearbox, it is mportant you do not use this machine until the problem is rectified, paul

2003 honda shadow 750 ace water pump gasket leaking. Can I replace the gasket only?

There is a round o-ring that seals the water pump to the motor (oil seal). Then there is a shaped cover o-ring that seals anti-freeze into the pump. The cover o-ring is also replaceable. If your pump has coolant leaking it is probably coming from a small weep hole in the bottom of the pump. Check where the leak is carefully, my guess is that the water pump seal is bad and you actually need to replace the water pump assembly. To see a break down of the pump look here.

When Ideling coolant drips underneath the water pump

Most Yamaha water pumps have a "weep hole" on the bottom of the water pump housiing.
Basically your water pump shaft has a coolant seal and an oil seal where it is driven...the weep hole drains away any leakage between the cooalnt and oil seals so cross contamination does not occur.
You probably should look at rebullding the pump. Don't try plugging off the weephole to stop the loss...it will contaminate the oil system.

1999 VULCAN HAS OIL LEAKING AROUND THE SPARK PLUG DOWN A WEEP HOLE AND OUT THE BACK OF THE CYLINDER HEAD. WHAT IS CAUSING BUILD UP OF OIL IN THE SPARK PLUG WELL? REAR CYLINDER RIGHT SIDE PLUG

hi, sounds like the oil seal in the rocker cover has failed, remove the rocker cover and you will see a rubber seal, this seals the oil inside the cover, however when the seal fails around the spark plug hole, oil leaks into spark plug well and out of weep hole.

Bad seal in the pump itself. It is like a weep hole in a water pump. It is letting you know it is time to be replaced.

Anti freeze driping out of seep hole from the bottom of case

hello
there are two different seals on the water pump. the oil seal and the mechanical seal. the oil seal helps seal out the oil from the trans case. the mechanical seal helps seal the coolant from going into the trans case, and vise versa.
the weep hole is there to help diagnose if either seal is faulting. so if coolant is leaking from the weep hole. the mechanical seal is faulting or if the oil seal is leaking oil will drip from the weep hole.
hope this is of some help. thank you.

Oil drip on bottom of gearcase Kenmore Model 110.21882 washer

Unless there is an abundance of oil this is normal.
If you tilted the machine to replace the coupling that could cause some oil to escape also.
There is a small hole in the top cover of the gearcase to release pressure. Sometimes a little oil comes out too.
