Hi there, I have a 2000 hayabusa. Starts and runs great untill it reaches the temp that the cooling fan has to start. Engins turns off than. Won't start anymore, untill temp drops. When temp drops, it will start again untill it reaches temp where the fan has to kick in. it will stall again. The fanmotor is ok. I've checked that.

Did you make sure that it has the proper coolant mix ratio as it sounds like it has a large % of water ! it must have the correct mix ratio to maintain proper temp ! It might look like it has the correct mix because of the colour but if you have not done a coolant change your self then there is no way of telling if it is correct so I would flush the system and replace it with a recommended brand and mix ( some are already pre-mixed )

SOURCE: '01 GSXR 1000 won't start at temps above 170 or so.

Check the coolant sensor.Probably reads to the ECU that the engine is cold while it is not and the ECU injects more fuel that it should.Unscrew the coolant sensor (it is located on the cylinder head or on the thermostat casing) and boil it in water and measure it's resistance before (cold) and after boiling it (hot). It should not be the same.

SOURCE: bike starts and stalls, then doesn't turn over.

if it won't turn over when it's standing, but will when it's not, then it's a pretty safe bet that it's an electrical short!

SOURCE: 2005 Rmz250 wont start when hot.

YOUR BIKE HAS A POWER VALVE (DIAPHRAM FUEL PUMP) THAT GIVES A SHOT OF GAS EACH TIME THE THROTTLE IS TWISTED. WHEN THE BIKE IS HOT, IT FLOODS EASILY. DON'T HIT THE THROTTLE WHEN STARTING THE BIKE WHEN THE ENGINE IS HOT.

2000 chevy impala fan doesnt stay on when i start the car

I assume you mean the cooling fan on the radiator?? The fan should only be on when the motor has reached temperature. Perhaps the fan starts automatically and then if the temp isn't hot enough , it turns off., When the motor gets warmer, it should restart.

Motor shuts down when reaching normal operation temp

Sounds like the mass air flow sensor or the air intake temperature sensor. Sometimes just wiping out the throttle body/air intake can make all the difference

Vehicle shuts off and will not restart until cooler. Accelerator problems. What do I need to check?

Hi if your car starts playing up when the engine reaches normal running temp then wont start again till its cooled down then this points towards the oxygen sensor( or lambda sensor for its proper name) being at fault.
the reason it points towards this is that the oxygen sens only starts working when it reaches a certain temp so this is why it points towards this, how ever it could also be the catalytic converter if you have one so this will also need checking.

the chances are its just the O2 sensor but it could also be the cat.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

Sounds like you need another capacitor since it will run if you turn it by hand to get it started. If you have a clamp on ammeter check the current draw on the fan motor.

is the temp gauge going to hot? if so, it may be going into failsafe mode where it shuts off half the cylinders to protect the engine.

check your engine coolant temp sensor. It sends a signal to tunrn the cooling fan on.

FAN!!!

Oh, it turns out the the microwave was over heated and the fan was cooling it. The fan will automatically turn on and stay on until your microwave reaches normal temp. just unplug your microwave and let it cool off. then plug it in and everything should be just fine.
