Hi, if it starts again after a litle wile ,then you must have a petrol level inside the carburator tha is to low. in the fuel chamber you find a buoy that controls the amount of petrol coming into the carburator. If this level is to low you just run out of fuel after a fast ride.
Also you must check that your gas tank "breathes" so air can go in as fuel comes out, otherwise it will stop fuel from running due to a vacuum process.
Good luck

Above answer is good, but just simple check if it has too much 'choke' as it would start fine when cold, but could cut out as engine reaches working temperature

Air cooled Yamaha Rd350

Are you sure it is running with the correct plugs? Make certain you are otherwise a plug in the wrong heat range will annhialate a piston on your bike. When you say shutting down do you mean it stops completely or holds back?

I have a 2011 taotao 50 that bogs down when I ride I've replaced many parts and upgraded to a 80cc big bore kit anyone come across this issue? And find a way to fix it?

when you fitted the 80cc kit did you increase the jets sizes etc and fit a tuned exhaust ? do you have an oil pump for the 2 stroke as i would increase the flow slightly aswell and use quality oil too !

How to remove fuel pump on 2007 yamaha v star 1300 tourer

Your best bet is to purchase a shop manual if you plan on keeping the motorcycle and perform repair and maintenance on it.

My 1987 yamaha 80cc big wheel will not idle. would like to know how to adjust air mixture and idle screws?

well first try the choke if it runs good when you pull the choke even a little then you need less air, if it runs worse then you need less air, in is less air and out is more air thats the air mixture screw.
idle screw is self explanitory start turning it if it idles up then your turning it up if it idles down then you are idling down usually in is up.

I recommend a motorcycle transmission oil as it has the proper additives for a wet clutch. I like yamaha's trans oil plus for my bikes.10w40 motor oil will do in a pinch. and I like Yamaha's Yamalube S for oil injection systems.

Yamaha pw 80cc

Pull the carb off and clean it inside and out. Be sure main jet is clear. Re-mount carb and next Remove the water trap bowl at the bottom of the petcock, (gas valve). Dump it, clean it and re-mount it. Turn the gas on, wait a moment for the float bowl to fill with gas then give it a try.
Chances are this will fix the problem. Please rate this solution as a "FixYa" if it works. Thanks!
