The ZX6, as with most four-cylinder motorcycle engines, is mounted transversely in the frame. When sitting on the bike, the cylinders are numbered 1-2-3-4 left to right.

Firing Order: the firing order is 1-2-4-3. There is no distributor for the engine, as ignition is controlled electronically.

Extra Ignition Information: there are only two ignition coils for this engine. Each coil has two spark plug wires. One coil fires cylinders 1 and 4. The other fires cylinders 2 and 3.

Fireing order for kawasaki gpz900r

Sitting on the bike from left to right the cylinders are numbered 1,2,3,4.
The ignition fires 1,2,4,3.
The left coil operates 1,4 the right coil...3,2 in that order.

Your firing order is most likely to go 1423 with the first cylinder being on the left (shifter) side of the bike. This is what many Kawasaki's used.

Firing order four cy 1979 550 kawasaki

most bikes fire in the order of 1,3,4,2 so with 1 coil it should split to 2 plugs. check the lead length to which plug it should go to ie 1-3 & 2-4. hope this helps
