The most likely cause of your problem is electrical wiring shorting out underneath your left side cover. Pull the cover and check all the wiring, especially noting the condition the potting sealant (usually silicone) that should be sealing the wires going into the connectors, Ensure that none of the wiring is exposed. Check the tightness of all connectors. Check all visible component integrity, too. That should solve your problem.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,
Offhand, it would appear that the charging circuitry has failed. Initially, check the rectifier/regulator combo and its connectors/terminals. The regulator is located behind and below the coolant reservoir. Check for any loose, burned or corroded terminals:
The voltage on the the red/white wire or the battery + terminal should rise from 12 + to 14+ as the engine RPM is increased.
Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

There is a tool that is used, it looks like a steering wheel puller or flywheel puller. Loosen the nut, a strap tool is handing to hold the stator still while you loosen the nut. Then using the removal tool, you pull this off. reassemble by tighting the nut. You should be able to get a puller at autozone in the loan a tool program. I hope this helps
