in limp mode ---have scanned for trouble code---you have elect power assist motor mounted under dash to steering column also known problem with the knuckle at rack failing check fuses relays and wiring circuit

Have the system scanned for fault codes.

most use vacuum to hold the throttle open.. some use a signal off of the speedometer sensor..this sensor may be going bad..

Clean your fuel tank power loss could be caused by water in your fuel line and tank.

Your turn signals will not shut off automatically if the speedometer is not working. As for why the speedo is not working, I'm afraid I can't help you with that as I know nothing about them but I'd check the speedometer sending unit in the transmission first. It's supposed to generate a pulse for the speedometer. I work on the older bikes that the dealers will no longer work on and some Evolution powered bikes. I do not work on the digital electronics nor fuel injected bikes. I'm sorry I can't help you more.

On the Softail speedometer there is a reed switch that turns the turn signals off. If you don't have any power to the speedo, the reed switch won't work. Try to find out whether or not you have power to the speedo.

check your wheel speed sensors. and vehicle speed sensor on the transmission

drive 4 uses it to sense slip in the front/rear wheels.

check engine light on because it needs to know vehicle speed to shift properly.

no speedometer because it turns the voltage into a signal to the gauge

What bike are you riding? The Road Kings and Fat Boys, ect, with dash mounted ignition switches will ( from washing , rain, so on ) corrode internally and cause the symptoms you describe.
