Sounds like you're right. it is located at the kick stand. two wires route to it. uninstall it and have it checked out.

Hit kill switch going down the road, turn switch back on let out clutch but rear tie locked and want turn engine.

Hi just a thought as myself have never herd of this before.
If when you have yoused the kill switch when its at a stand still, and you put the kill switch back on and it starts, then it is quiet possible it could be a safty feature so if you came off the bike and the bike was laying on its side on the ground the back wheele wont keep spinning, just a thought as it is happening to the two bikes.

Wont crank in gear changed clutch switch changed kick-stand switch if running n let kickstand down it shuts off all three wires on clutch switch is producing fire 2000 zx9

I am not 100% on this one but I have owned several newer models 06 09 and 2010 and they all had cut out switches or kill switches if clutch wasn't pulled in or if stand was down they would not be able to start... So called safety devices they were called but damn annoying I felt no doubt you feel the same they all could be bypassed but in my experience bikes and their electrics should never be altered unless essential or your a master electrician
I am assuming your bike runs and starts well with clutch in and in neutral and with stand up ??
maybe ring your Kwaka dealer to confirm as I said I not certain when these safety switches started to be installed

'06 vtx 1300 c : engine dies when put into gear

You have one of two things going on. (1) You need to check the kick stand switch, your bike thinks the kick stand is still down. It may have been loosened out of adjustment by vibration. If the kick stand switch is out of whack, it will restart as long as the clutch in pulled in. But as soon as you try to let out the clutch it will kill the engine, if it is in gear. (2) Next problem could be, you need to loosen up the clutch cable a little bit, The clutch control on the handle bar has a screw type of adjuster (clutch cable passes through it ), try loosening it till it's easy for you to move the bike without the engine shutting off. Hope it helps and comment if you need more clarification.

I have a 2001 kawasaki 125 eliminator shuts off

If it dies when put into gear then its the side-stand switch (stand is down or switch not working)
If it dies when the clutch lever is released then either it was released too quickly with not enough revs, the engine doesnt have enough power to pull away or possibly the clutch switch is working in reverse

Good Luck
Hope this helps.

My 2001 yamaha R6 motorcycle dies as soon as i let off the clutch, while gear is in neutral position. I've also tried putting it in 1st gear, then letting off an adding gas, but again, when the clutch is...

I wonder if maybe the kickstand switch is bad letting the bike think the kickstand is down. When you let out the clutch it shuts of the engine as if the kickstand is actually down.

Starting and once started won't run

The problem seem to involve a number of circuits, I would suspect the Key switch as it supplies power to all affected systems. The dieing on release of the clutch is usually the kickstand safety switch. If the kick stand is not up, and the bike in gear, then when the clutch switch detects release is kills the engine so you don't kill your self.
Check or replace these switches.

Hope this is of some help.
