Question about 2000 Yamaha YZF 600 R thunder cat

Hello I have a datatool 433 alarm fitted and I recently disconnected the battery the alarm sounded until the battery pack faded out , reconnected the battery no problem . I've disconnected the battery again for some time , now the bike wont start is it possible that because the alarm battery is dead the bike is now immobilized ? if so how do i change the battery. Thank you kind regards

Hi .... On your fob you have a few options, you have to press the fob to place it in service mode.
1.Disarm
2.Turn ignition on
3.press and hold the smaller of the two buttons on the fob until you hear a beep.

This is service mode but you still get a beep every few seconds which will drive you nuts! It must have a backup battery built in because it continues even without the battery.

You can take it out of service mode by pressing the arm/disarm button.

sounds like you may have an overheating problem
check temp. and cooling fan

i suspect the battery is problem.Also you may have an electric fuel pump that is acting up.

try disconnecting the battery terminals and re connecting them most modern alarms go to sleep as they are designed to do so if the battery goes dead to save the battery, when you reconnect if yours is the 2 button remote hold and press both button simultaneously....hope this helps ....goose

if this was fitted to the bike when you bnought it, then you should have been given the certificate for the datatool alarm by the previouse owner, the installer or fitter of the alarm sends a copy of the certificatee to datatool when they have completed the job regestering the machine details, including the reg number of the bike,they will also identify the type of alarm from this, you will need a copy of this for your insurance company, you could try contacting customer support at www.datatool.co.uk/ - Cached - Similar

I have a 2000 yzf 600 yamaha, it recently had transmission work done to it and it seems it was done incorrecrly. The bike starts fine, the clutch etc... fine, the shifter will go through alll the gears it just will not move, off or on it will not lock into a gear, you can feel it in the different gears on it just won't move.
