The XV250 doesn't have any coolant. It isn't liquid cooled it's an air cooled V-twin.

The XV250 has a total oil capacity of 1.8 litres but that's only from completely dry. If you're simply replacing the oil there will always be some left behind after draining and in that case you will need 1.4 litres. If you're replacing the oil filter at the same time you'll need slightly more ... 1.6 litres.

hi,generally speaking yes,they have a very forgiving engine with gentle power delivery(no sudden surges of power like sports bikes)they are also very comfy to ride and yet even though it is only a 250 it will cruise quite comfortably at highway speed..enjoy..hope this helps

check your coil pick up find any old motorcycle parts provider online look at the pick. pull teh side cover on the other side of your stator and there it should be. might even be on outside of stator. probably it. email for a walk through
