Need a loud horn for a SYM DD50
YOur effort better spent paying atention to other vehicles. I have driven all around Honolulu, and Oahu and Kauai and Hawaii ... I dont think I ever used the horn on my Honda 100, my Honda 250, my Honda 360 or my Electra Glide.
Stays on choke
carb needs cleanin--get a repair manual for rebuild details
Sym 50dd will only do 15mph will not rev
try the exhaust, i feel it is coked up. very short term take exhaust off and try the bike. it should respond . decoke the exhaust and baffles and all should be fine. donot run bike too long without exhaust it is illegal and will also damage the engine good luck.
I service my scooter today
Most likely you will only need to replace the catalyst, you will most likely need to replace the catalyst and just attach it to the exhaust again. This should fix your problem. Let me know if this helps
Bike starts, runs but then
u may hav a gas issue-carb needs ajust or clog at fawcett--its new so a service bullitin may be out-ask dealer or online--if spark was bad it wouldnt start
HOW TO CHANGE REGULATOR ON SYM 300
To change the regulator on a SYM 300, you will need to follow these steps:
- Turn off the engine and remove the key from the ignition.
- Locate the regulator, which is typically located near the battery. It will be a small box with wires coming out of it.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent electrical shock or damage.
- Unplug the wires from the regulator. There may be a plastic clip or tab that needs to be released to remove the connector.
- Remove any screws or bolts that are holding the regulator in place.
- Carefully remove the old regulator and discard it.
- Install the new regulator in the same position as the old one. Make sure it is securely in place.
- Reattach any screws or bolts that were removed and tighten them securely.
- Plug in the wires to the new regulator. Make sure they are connected correctly and securely.
- Reconnect the negative battery cable.
- Turn on the engine and test the new regulator to make sure it is functioning properly.
It is important to follow the manufacturer's instructions and safety guidelines when working on any vehicle. If you are not comfortable working on your SYM 300, it is recommended that you seek professional assistance.
