Tip & How-To about 2001 Yamaha YZF 600 R thunder cat

Tired of the black stock exhaust on ur cat?

If u want to change ur stock black exhaust to a chrome exhaust without cost, and with out changing the sound. Just take a car buffer/ or by hand (by hand takes more time) and polish the muffler it takes the black right off and under neath is a true shimmering chrome pipe. just thought I though out a little idea for some customizing.

I have a LG 42PC3D-UD Plasma TV That had no picture but had sound I had 6 blowed capacitors I changed out the main board and the T-Con board still don't have a picture HELP me please

hello, you have blown buffer board, on left hand looking from the back there's either 1 long thin board or 2 joined together, the black ic chips, some have metal heatsink over the top if they haven't look for little white dots, if they are present the buffer is no good, you may also need to change the ysus board as well, thanks

How do you remove chrome exhaust center outlet on 2013 Cadillac cts coupe.

The exhaust outlets are welded to the end of the stock exhaust system so if you want to change them you will need to take you car to an exhaust shop to have the work done.

I am considering changing the exhaust system on my '04 Fazer from a 4 into 1 into 2, to a 4 into 1. Is this a good idea or should I leave it as it is?

Generally speaking, the stock exhaust will give the quietest ride, and best gas milage, and often better power than an OEM exhaust system (although the sound from the 4 into 1 may give the illusion of more power).
Chances are the backpressure would be different which means loss of power.
So, in my opinion, stock exhaust is better, and I wouldn't change it.

whats the best way to clean tarnishing chrome??

the best way is to use a commercial buffer....but if you are like most of us, and don't have one, you can try "Mother's" chrome cleaner with a chunk of "magic Eraser" It does a good job at removing the black spots without scratching. Hope this helps! Thanks, Rene

My 50'' Samsung Plasma has dead screen after only 2 years

Hi,
welcome to fixya!
without doing voltage checks, my best guess is this:

Plasma hpr5053 or hps5053 models will burn out a buffer board or both, there are two buffers and the Y board.
I usually change all 3 at once, but if on a budget you can try to remove one buffer and see if you get half picture (upper or lower)
this is something only a technician should attempt. the boards cost $200 each (buffers)
$300-$400 (Y board).
if you actually get half a picture the Y and one buffer are good, a bad buffer usually burns out the Y board. and in really bad cases the panel is bad also (not common, but possible)
For part#s , specific help you can post a model# , but again this is a repairmans job not something the average customer can fix.
hope this helps
Eric
