fuel filter on an 06 Yamaha R6 R6 Forum See this link as the discussion suggests using a fuel injector cleaner in the gas instead.

If you want to change it lift the tank up at the front,turn the fuel off at the tap under the tank follow the fuel pipe to the fuel filter near the fuel pump and pull the pipes off it and push them onto the new one ,turn tap back on and secure the tank.make sure you get the filter the right was around as its marked with an arrow for the fuel flow direction.

Exhaust valve actuator cables out of adjustment. Adjust the freeplay on the "pull" cable(just a little) and retest until light stays off.

Check side stand switch. Side stand might be up but if computer thinks its down it will kill engine. Could be broken wire or bent switch/bracket or just stuck.

Have you adjusted the valves correctly? if they are too tight it will cause this sort of problem.

Recharge battery or it it's ban and can't be fully recharged buy new baterry. Code 46 is for iregular power to ecu.
Probably it's bad battery.

The battery is under the riders seat, undo the 2 bolts at the rear of the seat the battery is near the fuel tank.

does it make any noise at all? and are the guages working? it could be the main fuse....

Well, try to disconnect your battery first, leave it off for about 10-15 seconds, reconnect and it should set your computer sensors to zero again. Cheers.

1. Buy a new air filter for bike type.
2. Open your rider seat and near the fuel tank ens you will see a black air box.
3. Undo the srew/bolt, you can see the old air filter.
4. It should be held down by a pair of wire clamps, just squeeze them and pull the filter out.
5. Reverse process for installation.
