I think your power valve on the barrel by the exhaust may be stuck down so check there first.

Any 2 stroke engine oil will work. I suggest you stick with Yamaha's oil.

unhook the clutch cable and turn the arm back to hook up the spring, then refit the cable

i am pretty sure that the enduro 250 gets the power for the spark direct from one of the magneto coils. there are 2 coils behind the magneto. one feeds the lighting and battery for the bike.
the other should run through a set of points, through the coil and then to the spark plug.
you should not need a battery at all to start the engine, but you may need to check the points and the coil, and the wires behind the magneto unit for any damage.

If it overheated when the first seal went, you may have a head gasket problem, either that or the seal was replaced incorrectly.

check the battery.. . . i think the battery is lowbat

It holds 1.2 liters.

How much oil did you add? 1 quart or so? If you add too much oil it will rev slow. Let me know and i can help u further.... Sincerely HDTV GURU JAY

too much fuel buddy on carb is a mixture screw turn this in 14 of a turn or more if required and try this if no good get back to me

Has the power valve seized on as that will restrict the revs.

hi , Depending how old is the bike it maybe only your speedo cable gone . There is no need of replacing the speedo even if its a new bike as the connection maybe damp or fuses might be blown or false connection

I doubt the high grade of gas has anything to do with not starting, what I suspect is your oil injection reservoir tank is low and the sensor is shutting off the ignition

Where is the black liquid? In the fuel tank? Over the engine?
Please explain where and what you think it is.
I presume it passed the MOT and it isn't someone who is jealous of it.

Since you do not give any details we will just make this as generic as possible to try and help.
Check all panels and cover plates to make sure these are secure. (especially any loose screws)
Check the spark plug(s) to ensure these are tight.
Check cables to make sure all are secure especially near the engine.
(clips and holders come loose and sometimes rattle as they dance around to the engines tune)
Spark knock does not sound like a rattle. However you can try using a higher octane to see if things improve.
Check the battery and make sure it is secure.

10w40 motor oil. NEVER use synthetics. They can mess up the clutch.
