The 30 amp fuse keeps blowing
First, determine what devices the fuse is protecting. There should be something inside the cap of the fuse block to tell you. 30 amp probably goes to the headlights. Check for wiring that rubs against metal and may have rubbed off the insulation. Does the fuse blow when you turn the ignition on or does it blow later?
My r6 keep push coolant out of expansion tank
Recommended cooler level in expansion tank is in the middle between MIN and MAX while the bike is at top working temperature and it's radiator fan already engaged a couple of times. Use coolant that can withstand +112 C or moreIf after that still spills coolant from expansion tank's overflow hose you should check compression on each cylinder for head gasket damage.
Having problem in my r6
There are many available on ebay. Try to find a seller who will ship internationally. If you have any Yamaha dealerships where you are they could order you the part.
Will be riding for about
Hello
Have the battery load tested, a fully charged battery is about 14.2 volts, and then have the Alternator output tested, it sound like the battery is not being charged, it should have about 14.0 volts at 1500RPM, if not then the Alternator is defective. If nothing shows you will need the bikes electronic engine control system tested by the dealer for system fault codes.
Purchaced a slip on exhaust. gp moto style from
hi, quite often i find people come to me with this problem, and the most obvious reason is that they clamp the pipe to high up, if your exhaust came with a supplied clamp, and the silencer has been manufactured with slots cut out where it fits onto original headers, place the clamp on the silencer but dont completely cover the slots, covering them will not alow you to tighten the silencer, remember you cant tighten up on a solid peice of pipe, you will have to leave about 3 or 4mm of the slot visible on the uper side of the clamp, the slot will soon seal up after rideing for a couple of weeks. hope this helps
Scn@bike will start, but with
That is a safety deature. It would not be a good idea to ride off with the side stand down!
There is a micro switch connected to the side stand and clutch lever for your protection.
I have a 2000 yamaha
The bike has a bent shift fork or two. This is a major repair on the bike. The engine comes out of the frame, gets flipped upside down then the bottom casing
comes off. This allows
access to the gears and shift drum / shift forks. I do not
recommend this repair for a novice mechanic. Call a Yamaha dealer to confirm my diagnosis and to get an idea of the repair cost. The cost will probably be $1000 to $1500. Bummer.
