NO.You do not need a new carb.If it has been repaired 3 times,it was not repaired properly on all 3 occasions.OR,there is another problem with the bike.Carbs only have a few parts in them. They are either blocked with gunk or not adjusted properly.Take some time and work out when the bike 1st started to run badly. Then go from there. What did it do? was it a fast or slow breakdown?Hey!Is there water in the fueltank.Small things 1st.Hope this helps

hows it goin, check the fuse box, it is under the seat. if no fuses are blown, check the horn and flasher unit/Flasher relay connections. I think you have to separate problems.

Hi and welcome to the site,

Initially, postback the model.

Offhand, on most 2 coil Yamahas, the red/white wire is the IGN +12 while the orange & gray would be the wires from the CDI. The Orange would be for 1 or 1 & 4.

Good luck and thank you for asking.

I am not familiar with the 96 model you have, but the fuse box should be located underneath the seat. If not there than probably behind one of your side covers. it will have a plastic cover that will un snap to remove it,

If you follow the red wire from the positive terminal, you will see that it ultimately leads to the fuse box. In fact, it will terminate next to the battery at an odd-looking junction. It will terminate into a large flat bit of metal with a small bolt through it. Right next to that is another flat bit of metal with a bolt through it, and a heavy wire attached to that. This wire will run to the fuse box if this is what you're looking for.

The tap test tells you your going to have to trace the wires and see where it has a poor connection. The problem may be in the switch itself. The light has a ground connection so be sure you clean it.

If all cables look intact remove the clutch cover and inspect the cable to the lever inside this area. The shaft maybe seized up & by a little force by hand it should move for you. They do hang up when sitting outside in the cold. If a UV lamp is available apply the light towards the clutch cover area about 18 inches away for 6 hours. That will warm it up enough to loosen up. If it does not come loose then you have an internal problem in the clutch pack

try removing the spark plugs . if there dirty clean the with a wire brush.. check the gaps on them are the same . might not be a bad idea to get new one.. if that doesent work its probably that your carbs are dirty or blocked.. if you leave your bike laid up too long the unburnt feul in the carbs evaporates and th additives in it remain and turn to goo.... a couple of hours work at your local garage.. wont cost much.. dont mess with them if your not sure

Like carburetors, fuel injectors become clogged with fuel varnish if the engine is not operated regularly. You can try adding some commercially available fuel injector cleaner to the gasoline (follow the directions on the label). Otherwise, the injectors will need to be disassembled and cleaned. If you can successfully rebuild a carburetor, you can do fuel injectors, too. Also, find out where the fuel strainer is (usually in the fuel petcock) and clean it.

u require a carb service, also check your carb to engine manifolds..as they are prone to becoming de-laminated & or cracked.

If your side stand switch was bad, it wouldn't run at all. I would suspect that the coil is breaking down, and would need replacement.

Yes, there are fast and free downloads, but your bike is too new to be listed on any site I am aware of.

Go to this site and you can download a free PDF service manual.
www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp Most all of the manuals are in English.

As to removing the carburetor float bowl. Remove the four screws holding the bowl and tap the bowl with a screwdriver. If all you are doing is draining water from the carb all you really need to do is remove the drain screw on the float bowl then put it back in place. I can't find a diagram of your carb so I am assuming there is a drain screw.

A “very helpful” rating on this answer? Thanks!

SAE 10 fork oil and according to the manual it's 228 cubic centimeters.....The manual also mentions that the oil level should be 176 mm below the top of the inner fork tube.

Yes, Yamaha Nmax is directly offline with a USB power port. In order to fix the mobile phone, Yamaha's official website has launched a mobile phone holder accessory, which you can buy directly. And if you add 10 dollars, you can provide installation services.
