How do I get to the battery of my 2001 Yamaha
Your battery is hidden under the front seat. There are two bolts one on either side of your front seat. You may have to take off your side covers to find them. Once you take out the bolts you should be able to lift up the front seat and your battery will be hiding underneath.

What holds the shift pedal
A 6mm thread by 22mm length flange bolt available at any hardware store. When the engine lever is in the correct position the bolt is tightened to compress the lever on the shift shaft. Now if you are talking about the foot shift lever, that is held on by a thin washer and an external snap ring.

WITHOUT ANY WARNING MY 2001 250 VIRAGO LOST
its running lean. make sure your fuel lines are are intact and check for anywhere else that the fuel system could be taking in air.by turning on the choke you are causing the system to run richer (by blocking the air) causing a higher fuel to air ratio but still not enough to keep the engine running under any demand. i am sure you will find something obvious since this started suddenly. good luck.

Loose Performance
Check to see if you have spark on the cold head plug. Then if you, check to see what colour the sprk is. It should be whiteish blue. if it is orange than it is a week spark.swap plugs from one side to the other to see if the colour changes or follows the plug. if it is still week than you could replace plug cap and wire and try again. If it does not change then you need to replace the coil.

Virago xv 250s 2001 manual?
Very simple fix..Take your time and have the right tools. You will need a metric socket set to do the repair. Remove the manifold bolts first, (reason being, when you remove the remaining mounting bolts, the weight of the exhaust system will be resting on the mounting bolts and could cause damage. The remove the remaining mounting bolts and the exhaust. Repeat the process for re-installation. Good Luck! I hope you find this to be very helpful!
