I get no power when i twist the key any ideas

Try first with a new battery. If this doesnt work find the wiring diagram for ur bike and check for power to the ignition switch.

How to check my oil

there should be a dipstick on the oil filler cap, if not you have the wrong cap and a replacement needs to be bought.

alternativly, if you know exactly how much oil it takes, drain all oil out. and put the exact amount in.

I am having problems getting good spark could a

Yes occasionally a battery can put out enough cold crank amps to spin the starter and motor, but in doing so drags the voltage down so the electronic ignition wont fire.

a couple of warnings
If you check for spark make certain there is a plug in the lead and it is grounded to the engine, if not the voltage builds up in the coils until it can spark to something.
dont jump it of a bigger car battery, when the bike starts it can try to produce more amps than its supposed to to try and charge the car battery and stuff the reg.

My fz 400 wont start. it has fuel, spark and good

if it has fuel, and "Good spark" and good compression then it has to be the carbs. Can it be push started? if you can push-start it, then i would suggest first purchase a can of Sea Foam @ Autozone $10 pour in 1/3 can to 2 gallons fuel, change or clean fuel filter and fill up the filter with "a little" bit of Seafoam push start it, then if it fires up, drive it around the block until your sure it will run somewhat,it probably will run rough at first until it works its way into your fuel system, then get on it once in awhile on an open highway for about 10 to 15 miles. if theres anything clogging up any ports or jets this stuff works pretty good... it worked for me after driving about 11 miles. it was still hesitating the whole ride but all of the sudden it spit something out and then all my hp came back...make sure your spark is a really nice big bluish spark...if it is redish purple then i"d check the pulse generators, they're probably bad.

Hello I have a 1994 YAMAHA FZR 600R I took the

With plug I presume you are talking about the oil filler plug, When you open oil filler plug normally you will see a dipstick showing how much oil is in the crankcase, if not, find an oil level window near foot clutch lever or another way is to use a piece of skinny stick, dip it in perpendicular to bike oil hole and pull it straght out. it should show about 2-3 cm in height. You can use normal meneral bike oil SAE 10-40W about 2.5-3.5 L to fill cranckcase full.

My bike is having trouble staying runing it sounds

sounds like those cylinders are not firing, hence no heat !
find a spare sparkplug and see if your getting spark on those cylinders,if not you may have a coil problem,if so check fuel is getting to those cylinders are the plugs wet?,also a compression check might be in order also..

Miss fire on number 1 cyl

I would have to say that I think it's not miss fireing.
It could be the coil for those 2 cyclinders. It could be in the carbs. When you cleaned the carbs did you remove them from the engine and dismantel them completly? Clean every parts and blow out all the air and fuel ports. Did you seperate the carbs from each other? If you did the carbs will need to be synced again. Good Luck.
