Have a 250cc yamaha virago its been standing for a

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Almost always, your described problem indicates clogged idling jets. Stale fuel causes varnish like coating which must be removed. This then calls for a carb pulldown, disassembly and soaking non-rubber parts in carb cleaner. In the exploded carb diagram below, the idle (pilot) jet would be # 20.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

You can not leave anything sit for 2 years then expect to go for a cruze with no trouble. The carbs probably have scum built up in side and will have to be rebuilt. Yes I have heard of this for years.

Front suspension must be refilled with oil, how to

There is a drain plug at the bottom of each fork. Just drain them and put the plugs back in then take the caps off the top of each and put in the propper amount of fork oil. You will need actual fork oil, so when you get it ask the shop how many cc's of oil to put in each fork.

Odometer works but speed indicator needle

Ok, if the odometer is working,,, then the cable is doing what it is supposed to do and has no problem. There is a malfunction inside the speedometer itself. You can look to see if there is a company in your area who specialize in this sort of repair or you can just buy another speedometer and replace it. That's the size of it.

Cut safty wires from 86 xv700c virago TCi sidestand&rev limiter

You can cut them and see if that works but you might have to connect them together if it is a closed loop circuit. just use a meter to check the voltage with the stand up and down. if one wire is hot with it up or down you will need to connect the two to trick the bike into thinking the stand is up. But they are both hot then cut the wires and terminate them so they don,t touch anything and you should be good.

My outdoor low voltage lighting is blinking on/off - cycles on/off every 2 seconds (approximately) - this is not an issue of the photo sensor picking up light from the installed lights. Colder than us

1) Most photocell timers have 1 year limited warranty, but unclear who carries warranty without knowing brand.Do not buy expensive timers with photoeye unless purchased at local store where ez exchange can be made for several years.Copy following link to help identify timer:http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#Moonray2) Buy Intermatic-Malibu power pack with 5 year limited warranty:http://waterheatertimer.org/Malibu-power-pack-stopped-working.html3) Set power pack to ON position (or override position) and then plug power pack into cheap 3-prong wall timer, for example timer with optional dawn-dusk or remote control sold at Lowes and Home Depot.http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Woods-49554-TM16-manual.pdf4) Add comment and describe timer in detail for more possible help If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/gene_9f0ef4df2f9897e7
