Hi and welcome to FixYa,
Initially, suggested checks on the wires:
- black of igniter unit tied to ground;
- orange wire from igniter to ignition coil with pulsating voltage when starting;
- gray wire from igniter to ignition coil with pulsating voltage when starting;
- IGN + 12 on red/white wire to igniter and ignition coils from engine stop switch;
- IGN + 12 on red/white wire to engine stop switch coming from 10Amp ignition fuse;
- pulsating low voltage from pickup coil between the wires black/white, white/green & yellow/red.
Postback results of above voltage tests.
Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa. Happy Holidays.
I cannot shift my 2009 yamaha grizzly out of any
Hi, sounds like either your engine oil is wrong, different oils can make the clutch drag, or clutch may just need adjusting, is it idling high, as this can affect the gears too, hope this helps :)

Most are spray mate, but I have used chainsaw oil in the past, its very good, easy to clean off if it flings and I just used to put it on the chain with an old paint brush.

2005 Yamaha v star 650 losing power
What Exactly does the bike do when it 'loses power'? This will give clues as to where the issue could be. When was the last time the bike was given a major service? Sometimes it can be as simple as a dirty fuel/air filter or an old/worn or dirty spark plug.

1995 Yamaha Virago 535. It runs good for about 7 miles then starts backfiring?
- Fuel System Issues:
- Check the fuel system for clogs, such as a dirty fuel filter or carburetor jets.
- Ensure that the fuel tank and fuel lines are clean and free from debris.
- Consider adding a fuel system cleaner to help clean out any deposits.
- Ignition System Problems:
- Inspect the spark plugs for fouling, wear, or improper gap.
- Check the ignition timing to make sure it's set correctly.
- Inspect the ignition coils and wiring for any loose connections or damage.
- Air Intake and Exhaust Issues:
- Examine the air filter for clogs or dirt that may restrict airflow.
- Inspect the exhaust system for any leaks or blockages.
- Vacuum Leaks:
- Check for vacuum leaks in hoses, gaskets, or intake boots. A vacuum leak can cause an improper air-fuel mixture, leading to backfiring.
