2004 triumph Daytona 600.... will not start all it does when you push the start button is click. Have checked all 4 relays under seat and all grounds. Battery shows 12.2 volts and 166 cranking amps. P

If you check that is not an electric problem, and is not the batery, the problem should be from the starting motor. Try to start the bike by selecting the 2nd gear and pull, take a ride, till the bike is heat and try again to start the bike with the button, if the problem persists then you should change the starting motor. Before you change the starting motor, change the starting relay, is cheap and probably can solve your problem too.

Bike overheated have replaced faulty thermostat

Unplug battery and clear code. If this dosent work than the water temp sensor was probably damaged when it overheated. I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/david_c087e4b7d13c0163

2004 Triumph DAYTONA 600 electrical part

Hello,This is an old thread but we found the answer after checking if a part no was correct....The box is an O2 controller for a Dynojet Power Commander kit.It is used to bypass the sensor that fits into the exhaust to allow full ECU performance/fuel modifying.Part no 66391201 is also the same compatable part as 76125003 and is used in certain other Dynojet kits. (Daytona 600)Hope this may help any other Triumph owners with the same question. :)

I HAVE SOME TROUBLE WITH MY TRIUMPH DAYTONA 600

obviously you have some wire crossed straight to the positive side coming off the battery.. (probably before the ignition) trace the wire back from the speedo to make sure.. i recommend getting a wiring diagram to speed the process and make life simple...

you messed with any of the electrical?

2004 Triumph Dayton 600 Symptoms -

How the water today friend? I have gotten to work on a hand full of triumph and this is the oddest problem I've come across so far.I want you to start at the battery make fully sure that the wires to the battery are good and are tight, follow your ground wire (black) to the body and frame ground make fully sure the are tight. I have you starting here because IF they are loss every bump every turn you can temperately lose power causing the electrically system to fail, ignition system, instruments, light and so on. after you make sure that everything is how it should be check your charging system. at idle you should have 13- 14 volts, hold it steady above idle around 2500 rpm and check it should be sitting around 14.5-15 volts no higher. If it is higher your reg/rec has gone out and can cause problems like you saying if it's to low or dose not increase volts when you rev the motor your stator and reg/rec could have gone. this will also cause the bike to act up, not want to start and plain out be dead. Please check it that for me and let me know what you find. If everything is in good working order we can move on the harder trouble shooting

Is it just me or is it difficult to find a battery

It uses a Maintenance free battery that lays on it's side. It is a very common battery that is used in a lot of other sport bikes. Triumph will charge you 3x what you can get one for anywhere else. You can cross reference the part @ just about any Walmart using their battery guide.

Sounds like an alternator fault, if you know someone with a DC clamp meter or take it to the garage to test it.Try putting a multimeter on the battery and revving the engine, you should see the voltage climb slightly when revving about 3000rpm and drop slightly when idle.

DAYTONA 600 ENGINE LIGHT ON

I brought my car in to have some sensors replaced. This was necessary for my car to pass inspection. It took 2 1/2 hours to replace the sensors and it cost $708 in labor, $1600 total. MY GOD!$708 for 2 1/2 hours labor. I will never again purchase a Hyundai. I have few complaints about the vehicle but your labor costs to keep the warranty are highway robbery.Parts Of BMW.

2004 Triumph Daytona 600 Headlight Adjustment

If you look on the back of the headlights, there should be two screws(should be phillips) on the outer upper corner, and inner lower corners of each light. just park it about 20 feet from a flat wall, and have someone about the same weight as you sit on the bike upright, and adjust as needed.

I bought a used 2004

Hi jack, let's see if we can figure these problems out. When you try to first start it what is it doing?
Cranking but not starting, or failing to even crank over? Just a click, or nothing?

In regards about the speedo, Triumph's are known for being out of calibration,6-8% is common.
In the the UK speedos are allowed to read fast by up to 10% but arent allowed to read slow, so manufacturers usualy set them up to read just on the fast side, if tire size has been modified, then that figures in to the calibration also. There is an aftermarket device that plugs into the wire harness of the speedo circuit and recalibrates. I have not used these, but riders claim they work...here are a couple of links, you can check it out.
Reply back on the starter and i will try to help more.

How do I tighten chain on 2004 daytona triumph 600

Good Afternoon. To Adjust the chain:

1. Position the bike on its stand, or up on paddock stands if you have them.
2. Loosen the rear wheel spindle nut (see diagram below)
3. Slacken the adjuster locknuts on each side of the swinging arm
4. Moving both adjusters by an equal amount, turn the adjuster bolts clockwise to increase chain free-movement and anit-clokcwise to reduce chain free-movement.

Important - Ensure that the wheel spoindle blocks on both sides of the bike reamin in contact with the adjusters through this process.

5. When the correct amount of chaiin free-movement has been set, push the wheel into form contact with the adjuster. Tighten both adjuster locknuts, and the rear wheel spindle.
