Hi and welcome to FixYa,
Was the bike also washed recently? If yes, have you tried using a
can of compressed air on the electrical connectors of the pulser coil and the CDI?
Offhand, a couple of
initial voltage checks:
- consistent +12 on one of the 2 wires of each ignition coil at IGN ON condition and when cranking;
- pulsating voltage on the other wire of the ignition coils when cranking;
- locate the pulser coil wires. Measure the voltage coming from it while cranking. Should read ~0.5VAC.
Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

Gearbox revs/missing gears
Just below 6000 rpm on mine... also.. I could also only find 5 gears... its very easy to go through 2 gears instead of one. The other gears are there, just be gentle with the change lever and you should be fine.
If you still cant find them, put the bike on its centre stand and rotate the back wheel manually and change the gears by hand ...you should find em all.
All the best.
Bandit 600 speedo
