My 2002 intruder is not charging the battery
check the fuse,if the fuse is good, check the terminals, make sure theres no loose connections.if its still not charging, check the diode,if its still not charging, your stator or your charging coil is busted.
Where are the oil plugs to change oil
Remove the right side rear engine cover and you will find the where you pour in the new oil. Look toward the rear of the bike at the rear of engine about the middle and you will find the drain plug.
Where are the fuses found for the 1500 Intruder?
Ok, there are two places on this bike where you will find fuses. There is a main fuse (30amp) on the starter relay located behind the left upper cover (false fuel tank), and then the main fuse panel is located behind the right rearward engine cover. This cover has only two screws holding it on and they should be hex fittings.
DO NOT try to remove the forward cover (the one with the oil sight glass in it). That is the clutch cover/right side engine cover and is sealed. This cover is held on by regular bolt head bolts.
While your in the fuse box you may want to take note that the oil fill plug is under that first cover as well.
2002 1500 INTRUDER,RIDING IT ,IT CUT OFF THEN CAME
Sounds like there is a loose wire some where! You will need to start the bike and start wiggling wires and hope you find where it is loose or broken at. This kind of thing is a **** shoot just keep looking.
Rear tail light does not turn on.1998 suzuki 1500 intruder
It mught be the bulb that needs replacing or else check the wiring to the bulb for continuity in case there is a broken or snapped bit.If you have a voltmeter then you can test the voltage reading at the point of contact..Sometimes rust builds up and a simple cleaning would solve this.Hope this helps.
Brake failure
I would check the master cylinder mounting to see if something is loose that might allow the brake pedal to move without activating the piston. If everything looks and feels tight I would remove the rear wheel and inspect the brake pads and caliper closely. If nothing seems amiss yet I would rebuild the brake caliper, the kit is very simple. Make sure to clean everything well and inspect the brake pistons for burrs that may be interfering with normal operation.
Could your pads be a little tight on the rear wheel, causing your rear brake to heat up and boiling the brake fluid? If you can raise the rear wheel in the air and turn it there should be little resistance while in neutral. Some slight rubbing of the pads on the disc is normal but if the wheel comes to a stop quickly when given a gentle spin they may be rubbing too much and the caliper needs to be rebuilt.
2002 suzuki intruder vl1500 not charging battery
Check the voltage across the battery with the engine running - it should be greater than 13.5V.
If less, then you have a failure in your charging system, either the stator and/or the Rectifier/Regulator.
See this personally authored diagnostic guide on how to determine which part is defective. Also has a recommendation for excellent replacement as opposed to std OEM.

Suzuki intruder 1998 rear cylnder spark plug
HI if this is a bike with carbs then I would highly suggest rejetting them with the after market pipes, if it has injectors then I would recomend checking to see if a power commander is availible for the bike so that you can tune the fuel curve, it will help with the performance as well as your fuel problem
How many gear oil filling to cardan?
if you are referring to the final drive assembly(ie the diff)undo the large filler hole(top one)fill the assembly with a good grade 80-90w gear oil untll the oil starts to dribble out of the filler hole, this is the correct level.make sure the bike is sitting level and straight up(90 degrees to the ground) and the level will be correct,an empty fial drive assembly should take between 1/2 to 3/4 litre of oil,...hope this helps
2000 Suzuki Intruder VL1500 misfire
Hey, I have a 2000 Intruder 1500 as well and in the last week I have had the exact same problem and was thinking the same thing. I checked the front plug and it is pretty covered in black and changed both plugs. This did not help, still seemed like the front cylinder wasn't working just right. If you could let me know what you eventually find I would really appreciate it.
