1500 intruder 1998,fuel light stays
Go to bike bandit.com and look up the parts on your bike. It will show locations for the fuel sensor if you do not have a book. The reason the light is on is either the sensor failed or is unplugged or a wire broke,
Replace the spark plug wires on a 2000 Suzuki Motorcycle
Hi
Unfortunately the HT leads are sealed into the coils which means using an in-line connector (not a good idea as they are affected by bad weather) or replacing each coil (with lead)
Remove seat & tank, trace HT leads from plugs back to the coils remove & replace
Unscrew spark plug caps & screw onto new leads
The intruder seems to have had a lot of problems with ignition coils, it would be a good idea to use an aftermarket high power set

I have a Craftsman 32.8cc
I use old school lighter fluid and pour a tiny bit down in the cylinder, put the spark plug back in and it should start. If it starts on the lighter fluid all else is ok, (spark and compression). It needs carb. help if it will not stay running or if it does not puck up fuel. 2 cycle carb.s have 2 settings.(1) idle air and (2) wide open mix. Look at the carb for these adjustment screws. Be sure the on switch is on and that the wire is not grounded. If it starts after putting the starter fluid in the cylinder that tells you your spark is good and you have good compression. If it does not start, pull the plug and try as best as you can and look down in the cylinder at the top of the piston look to see if it is broken. Try this and re-post with results.
Back Rotor & brake replacement for 1500cc intruder have Question
>http://www.drumhillcycle.com/< Try this link for used parts. I would not use Aluminum rotors. To stop the squeak I would try a different brake pad. But you can take the pads off and file off the leading edge chamfer it a bit with a rasp. Not a lot but give it a 45 deg. both of the leading edges.
Bike died during poker run
I would eliminate the possibility of bad gas first, considering you had just filled up. Move on to the other possibilities after eliminating the simple ones first. Battery, spark plugs, plug wires, other ignition problem, fuel delivery problem.
Hello my 2000 intruders battery wont hold a charge
disconnect the leads . remove the safety ******** the battery . now install the new battery Take care that the red should be on the positive on the battery which is always marked with a + and the black on the -
Front decompression cable missing
Replace the battery if it has any age on it. Sometimes batteries can test out good but can still not have enough juice to do the job. I went through a bunch of parts and even rebuilt the starter and what fixed it was a new battery. Don't buy cheap batteries either, this is another problem. Just pay the extra and buy a good battery from a motorcycle shop.
Suzuki intruder 1500 charging system
You need to buy a volt meter and set it on 10, or 20 v-. Start the bike and see what it says. A good charging system will show 13-14+ volts. If the meter says 11-12 volts or does not change, you have a bad stator, or rect/reg. Take to a shop to have it further tested. Chaz Moto DC
Update on the main fuse blowing
I wouldn't bother with buying a new wiring harness, if the fuse is not blowing now I would be asking what Amp fuse they are using. It is possible you were using the wrong rated fuse for the job. I would be looking for wear marks on the harness, usually these things happen becaus of constant rubbing causes a short which is hard to find, a good auto-electrician should find it.
