Oil capacity
just fill it till it hits the level mark, then crank it till oil light goes out, then recheck after runs for a few seconds, to level in sight glass.
What make the f1 light come on
remove rear seat, there is a white socket with a cap, remove it, and get a bit of wire, bare the end ½ inch and place it in the plug with the terminals, put ignition on and it should give a fault code.
I have a 2000 hayabusa
Crank is the same as Turn-over.
Are you saying the start motor will run when you press the switch but the motor will not turn over? That is a starter problem ... If the starter motor is turning the motor over but the engine is not firing - have you checked the kill switch?
Otherwise, I believe you have a ignition time and/or carb/choke problem. When was your last professional tune up? If you cant remember, it is time for a professional tune up. Tell the mechanic it will not start using the starter but it will when you push it. BTW, this bike is too big for you to be pushing to get it started. Besides, the girls will not want to ride with you if you have to push it to get it started. Be cool - get it tuned up. Spring is just around the corner where I live. Spend the summer riding - not pushing.
Thanks for your question today.
When I am riding in 2nd my 2000 Busa feels like it
Sounds like you've shredded a tooth off 2nd gear, Have dealt with this problen before and unfortunately involves an engine rebuild, it may be cheaper to source a second hand unit but beware this is not an isolated problem and you may purchase a unit with the same problem so make sure you get a guarantee.
Hope this helps
Got a 2000 hayabusa, instrument panel back brake
Well...in general....the turn signals brake lights and horn and instrument lights are typically on the Signal fuse on most bikes.
So....any recently added accessories to the circuit?
If not...start at the signal and brake light sockets...inspect wiring around the socket and the sockets themselves looking for a possible short.
Then check wiring to the back under seat for chafing pinching etc
Inspect the wiring aroiund the steering head in case a pinch has occured causing a short on bar rotation.
If all looks okay...inspect the horns....not sure on your Busa, but many horns use 2 wires and ground through the horn button....so the horn needs to be insulated on its mount so as it may be wired hot and can short.
How do you remove the seat to gain access to the
there are two allen head screws under the front of the seat that go into the top of the frame. remove the 2 screws and lift the seat from the front and slide forward. voila the seat has been removed.
