Not running correctly
not 100% sure if this is a fuel injected bike...if it is...maybe the fuel fillter needs changeing...if its a crab engine....try cleaning the carbs out!!
I turn the key to the on position and the lights
It's either a bad battery (change if you have been using it more than 3 years) or a jammed starter, the reason the lights go out is either there is not enough power or the power present is being sucked by a jammed starter. One thing I need to add is sometimes a loose and /or dirty battery terminal can cause this problem also, try having a look at it and if it's loose and/or have acid salts on battery terminal, wash it with hot water and tighten the terminals, charging the battery would be a good try before spending any money on another battery.
Hope it helps you and please don't forget to rate the answer, it helps me, thanks!
How to change rear brake pads
You must take it out. Unbolt the caliper and swing it away then pull out your old pads and put new ones in, reverse the process.
99 GSXR 750 WONT CHARGE
Change stator. Left side of motor. Its real easy to do. If your to buy a used one order the gasket from Suzuki first. Its going to take a few days. Also get all you need for the oil change also...due to the fact that all the oil is going to come out with the stator cover removal. . Suzuki can run a diagnostic on it for you as well.
My 97 gsxr 600 oil light come on ? anyone what is
If you have oil in the window of your bike when it is straight up, and you start your bike, the oil level should drop below the window or at least to the bottom of the window. If it does not drop, turn the bike off.lean the bike to the left side until it almost hits the ground, then raise it back up to center. Try starting it again. If the light is still on, see if the wire is connected to the sensor. If the wire is connected, you might have a bad oil pressure sensor. Chaz Moto DC
I have a 997 Suzuki GSXR 750 and the fuel pump
Go to http://www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp , and download a (free) manual. Your year is not specified but '93-'95 and '00-'02 are available and should give you a good guide.
BOUGHT 1997 750 SUZUKI GSXR AND IT HAS BEEN
When an engine has been sitting for a while the rings stick to the bores, some WD40 down the plug holes overnight will fix this, the Main Bearings tend to stick to the crankshaft. Rotating the engine by force can make the bearing rotate and block off oil passages etc. Another thing is when the bike was parked was it because the engine had a knock. If the knock is a low solid sound it will be a main bearing, if this is the case it would be prudent to rebuild the engine. If the knock is a light noise it could be a timing chain or transmission noises. Put in gear and see if the noises go away.
Resistence on the switch seems low does this
Which switch? Kill/ign switch? All switches should ohm out to 0. Pure continuity. Cheap meters will read 1.2-1.6 and jump around a lot. Water in the Stop-Run-Stop kill switch is a notorious problem.
Gsxr 750 wv swingarm bearing adjustment ?
hi buddy you cant adjust bearings the bearing are there for smooth movement you can losen the swing and arm bolt to make them a little loser but too lose will be dodgy get back to me what you mean
Hey I will be looking at buying a GSXR750
ENGINE > Does the engine start easy? Does it idle smooth and at a proper speed? Any smoke from the tailpipe while riding? Is there a puff of smoke when started or when pulling away from a stop sign? Any noise coming from the top end or gearbox? Does it shift smoothly in and out of all gears? Does it accelerate without hesitation? Does the clutch engage and disengage smoothly? Is the clutch lever easy to pull?
My unsolicited thoughts >
Know that most shops will probably refuse to do repairs on your bike if it is more than 10 years old. Most all shops use this same standard. Parts availability is the main problem. Also understand that the GSXR is an in-line four cylinder engine. A top end job will cost around $2000 and the same goes for the gearbox. I suggest getting a 2005 or newer with lower miles.

Any oil or coolant fluids leaking after a ride?
Do all gages work? Lights, horn and flashers?
Any red lights on the gages lit up? Any computer codes flashing?
Do front and back brakes operate and stop smoothly?
Is the motor oil pretty clean or really dirty? (this is a sign of how well the owner has cared for the bike).
Is the oil "white-ish"? (whitish indicates water in the oil. If motor is water cooled it's usually bad water pump seals).
Do the sprockets still have rounded tips, not pointed? Is the chain well lubricated or rusted and dry?
Good tires? How old is the battery? All lights work properly?
Is the upholstery good? Plastics are expensive, do you see any cracked or broken fairing or side covers?
Gas tank badly rusted inside? Do the wheels run true or weave?
Do the forks look bent from a side view or front view?
Does it drive nice or is the bike squirrely to drive? How about around curves and corners?
Ever been wrecked? What service work has been done in the past?
With the handlebars driving straight ahead, is the front wheel pointing a slightly different direction?
Do all accessories work properly?
Ask what doesn't work on the bike. What known problems do exist?
.
These are things to look for. I hope this helps.
A “very helpful” rating for this answer? Thanks!
I have a 97 gsxr i when i turn the key on i get no
Is the battery fully charged and checked for corroded connections? Will the engine turn over with the kick starter (not necessarily run)? Did this happen suddenly, or a long time coming? A voltmeter or test light would be handy to find this. Look for any wiring hanging loose on one end.
I have a 1997 gsxr 750 thats hard to start and
from what you have said i would say the carbs were rebuild by a numpty that should have his tools taken away, if you have any knowlege of carbs check the air screws and the float heights and give the carbs the once over to see if all is as it should be, balance them and charge the battery as a slightly discharged battery will fail to start the bike ( it needs to be in good order)
