2005 Moto Guzzi Griso Questions & Answers
DOES THE MOTO GUZZI GRISO 2007 USE A SMALL AMOUNT
Depending on how much oil she uses.
Most engines use some oil and drip a little also.
Most older bikes use an automatic chain oiler which can go out of adjustment and dump oil everywher.
I would say 500 miles to a pint is OK.
Oil pressure low?
Need more info. Usually this would be due to bearing wear at the crank IF a mechanical issue, that or the oil filter or pump. Then too if the engine top end has been removed and worked on some issues may arrise from there... But I have a hard time seeing what that could be. There are two very good web sites for you to get all you want. One is guzzitech.com and the other is wildguzzi.com or .org, I forget if it is .com or .org, but these are the guzzi go too people.
How to remove the fuel tank from a moto guzzi breva 1100
Probably have to remove the seat first. Most fuel tanks are retained by u shaped flanges that grip a round rubber puck on both sides of the frame near the steering head. After you drain the fuel, lift the rear of the tank slightly and pull it to the rear, it should then be free to lift off the frame.
Blocked overflow on fuel tank
I don't know what vehicle/equipment you're referencing here. With that in mind, can you drill a hole or holes through the chassis just below the gas cap to allow water to escape?
I have a moto guzzi sport 1100 1996.No oil leaks from rear wheel when standing but spots of oil on wheel and tyre after riding a few miles.Any help would be appreciated
oil leaks during use indicate a loose bearing adjustment allowing the oil to move past the seal lip when rotating
I would be checking wheel bearing condition and adjustment, oil level in that section and wear groove for where the oil seal lip runs
reasoning is , when the wheel is stationary the oil is not being splashed around and will settle in the lowest places
when moving , if the seal housing is allowed to move separate to the axle position ( wobble , up down sideways etc) then small gaps appear between the seal lip and what it runs on and so oil is allowed to escape
if it is a drive shaft to the rear wheel check the output shaft to the wheel for movement ( bad bearings , adjustment/ preload ) or anything that will not keep the shaft in the center of the seal
