Carb is not letting enough fuel into the engine. That means the mixture is too lean. When you choke it, you restrict the air flow into the engine and now the air/fuel mixture is correct and it runs. Check the carbs and injectors if it has them.

Hi check the ignition switch and kill switch first also the side stand switch. After this check if there is power at the coils. These are all the simple cheap steps. Best of luck.
