A bit noisey in the left side crankcase area

http://www.bikebandit.com/houseofmotorcycles/2000-kawasaki-motorcycle-vulcan-1500-classic-fi-vn1500n1-us/o/m4398#sch61451

This link takes you to a schematic that shows you your timing system (located on the left side)
worn guides or stretched chains cause a constant metallic rubbing noise while a tapping sound that increases in frequency as you accelerate is usually the sound of a valve needing adjustment (clearance). Hope this link helps. Don't forget to vote.

Just replaced clutch spring on '01 vulcan 1500

assuming it was reinstalled properly....try the following. while bleeding the system, squeeze the clutch lever several times to pump up the system as normal; open the bleed screw while holding the clutch lever in and air or fluid comes out. instead of closing the bleed screw hold your finger over the bleed screw and pump up the clutch lever in the normal fashon and bleed by releasing your finger to let the air escape try this several times to see if your clutch comes back. I don't know why but this technique works sometimes...Mike...Make sure you always have plenty of fluid in the resivoir at all times

I put to much oil in my 2000 Vulcan classic ffi

as long as you let out the excess oil and have it to the proper level now you should be all right.depending on how many miles are on your bike you may get a little oil that accumulates in the air filter housing because it comes from you crankcase breather tube, this tube vents out unburnt fumes out of your engine and is a normal thing that happens and may gets a little more heavy as your motor gets older.

This means that there is probably a problem with the transmission preventing engine engagement in other gears and/or at given levels of power/RPM's this is a problem you will most likely have difficulty fixing on your own but depending on how serious the issue could be relatively cheap to get fixed

Sounds like a major fuelling problem. If the bike is running lean it will overheat like hell, if it is rich it will smoke like hell!

02 mean streek bike started

The FI light came on because the Fuel Injection computer has detected a problem. It could be anything from a dirty air filter to a plugged injector. Take the bike to a dealer. They can plug in to the computer and read the codes to find out what is wrong. Please rate my answer. Thanks.

WHEN TAKING OFF, MOTORCYCLE WILL NOT MOVE AFTER

2000 VN 1500 Vulcan has a good clutch system, a little dodgy but a good system. You may want to diagnose the issue first to check if it is just the level and the cable or the clutch line itself that needs to be taken care of.

First, loosen up the cable that the clutch lever will go halfway first before you feel the spring of the clutch kicking in. If this still did not give you drive, this means that you need to have your clutch checked as it may be worn out or the clutch wheel is broken that the release bearing no longer pushes the plate to the transmission.
