I lost my control for my alarm on my motorcycle.i
The best thing to do would be to visit your local dealer with proof of ownership and the vehicle identification number and order a replacement control. You may even be able to find one on the Internet (eBay) along with programming instructions. That's how I got one for my Goldwing and saved $50.00.

When I give it gas, it reves up then takes off?
Inside the master cylinder is a tiny hole that allows fluid pressure in the hose to be released when the clutch/brake lever is released and hydraulic fluid to flow back into the reservoir.
Use a straight pin to loosen and remove the grunge in the hole and voila! No more slipping clutch.

You need to find the source of the oil leak. If you're lucky it's just a worn seal or a loose bolt.
Not much else anyone can do from across the internet...
good luck
1999 VULCAN HAS OIL LEAKING
hi, sounds like the oil seal in the rocker cover has failed, remove the rocker cover and you will see a rubber seal, this seals the oil inside the cover, however when the seal fails around the spark plug hole, oil leaks into spark plug well and out of weep hole.
I've got a 97 Vulcan
Sounds as if the clutches have given out. Dont take it hard it happens with out any warning, but if you are lucky and dont try getting it to engage and get it to a shop and have them do a clutch job on it, you just might be able to save a few bucks. The clutches on those bikes are a wet system and they just give out over time.
2005 kawasaki 1600 vulcan nomad
Bummer on the problem. Would it be possible to add a spacer ( washer ), to kill the unwanted space? Any chance that pinching the end of the side stand closed a bit would tighten things up? Other than that, your idea is about all that is left other than a new frame. I suggest the new frame since they only cost $1350.00. Smile, only kidding.
I am putting my 1700
I live in Minnesota . I vote for fuel stabilizer and charging the battery overnight once a month. In cold weather batteries hibernate in the cold and do not need constant tending (unless your vehicle has live electronics when it is turned off like a clock, or radio with memory, etc.) If you start and run your bike you will collect moisture in your exhaust(rust), on cool down you collect moisture all over your motor, waste fuel, run a high risk of fowling plugs, put extra wear and tear on your starter, and run down your battery starting your cycle in unfavorable conditions. Definitely: Stabil and charge once a month.
Whenever you down shift into
This sounds like a slightly bent shift fork. The slider gear dogs are clicking on the face edge of the gear you are shifting into. If the fork were not bent, the slider would push the slider gear further and engage more fully. The repair is major surgery on the engine. I would take the bike to a dealer to confirm my diagnosis and at the same time get a cost estimate. If you get out for under $1000 dollars you will have lucked out. Please rate my answer. Thanks.
