faulty sender in the fule tank,,,

may be because charge on bike's battery went down.
you may have to charge it.

if i remember right youll need a large hex. the bolts you took out that side should have a large hex on the inside of the axle.

Did the actual fuel pump fail or just the fuel pump driver module?

I'd be very suprised if the fuel pump failed, but there is a reliability problem with some of the driver modules. They seem to fail often if they are exposed to water or high humidity. The fuel pump driver module on your bike is located directly under the seat. Maybe BMW will come out with an updated part... time will tell.

Get dealer to replace yours again and ask them to make sure there is no moisture under the driver module when they install it.

they are quite noisy. nothing to worry about.

heehog, don't be such a tool. If you knew anything about this subject you would know that Service Manuals for late model BMW motorcycles are next to impossible to obtain.
