Is there a way to check (or verify) the condition of clutch of a R1200GS without taking the bake apart? Diagnostics, etc.?

How do i replace the cam belt on a bmw r1200gs adventure 2007

remove the cover ,wind motor over to Top Dead Centre ,look for timing marks (may need to turn over once more to get all the marks to line up) Mark all the reference marks with a white paint pen to make them clear , Release the tenenser & lock it out remove the old belt ,refit the belt making sure the marks all line up release the tenenser and lock it ,recheck your marks ,wind over by hand a couple of times to check everything is OK refit covers

I am trying to take the abs off of my bike and

be careful these bikes have CAN_BUS wiring systems, you start messing with the wiring and it starts effecting all the other function

Take it to a BMW service dealer or an independant who can service it as they need a special machine to set up correctly

Fuel gauge not working

If you have the film type sensor, it cannot be repaired and will need to be replaced.

You will need to remove the filler cap (6 screws). Then remove the metal "funnel" part. The fuel strip is attached to the funnel part.

Your ABS pump is faulty.

They repair the ABS units with a 5 year warranty.

My abs light is on

If yours is a 2007 model, chances are good that the ABS pump has failed and needs to be replaced. Alternatively, look here: motorcycle repair

How would I verify or check the condition of the clutch (R1200GS) without taking the bike apaert? Can it be done? Would BMW's diagnostics software be able to determine this?

No, Diagnostic software cannot measure your clutch wear.

Remove the starter motor. You will be able to see a small section of the clutch and measure the thickness.
