Slave cylinder problems and boring a weep hole

Well if your about to change your slave cylinder on one of these beasts..before installing a new slave..bore a small weep hole in the slave cylinder housing (at the bottom of course) you'll need a 6 to 7 inch bit (10mm or smaller) clean out the swarf (pieces of metal left from drilling) from the housing, fit the new slave...this helps if the cylinder should fail again...the dot4 fluid will now run out the weep hole instead of being forced up the push rod....very handy..and remember replace the crush washers on the banjo bolts.

I HAVE A 1999 K 1200 LT and just had the starter relay replaced due to a low battery (welded relay) . It only clicks and will not turn over and the battery is new. Could it be the starter that is bad?

Have you checked the volts on your new battery as it may not be producing 12.5 volts when you try to start load test the battery with any alt meter when you try to start the bike if not this the rely you have replaced May be faulty hope this helps

New battery install fitting terminal engin wants

Assuming the ignition is off while you are installing the battery.
The starter relay must be stuck, or the cable is connected to the wrong side of the relay

BMW K1200 LT CHARGED BATTERY BUT WHEN FITTING POS

You have either a starter relay or the solenoid is stuck. Since I don't know what make the starter is, that's about all I can tell you. Try putiing the bike in high gear and rolling it back and forth and turn the engine just a bit. Sometimes that "unsticks" a starter drive gear. Might work. Good Luck!

I RECENTLY BOUGHT A 2004 BMW K1200LT AND IT WAS FINE NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN WHEN I START IT AFTER STANDING FOR A WHILE IT SMOKES AND IT SMELLS LIKE OIL AND THEN IT STOPS SMOKING AFTER A KM OR SO

I suspect oil not draining from the rocker covers and instead draining into the cylinders. Could give it an oil change which should clear blockages.
