At the bottom of the ignition lock on the side is a small red blob of paint remove it and under it is a small screw rotate it out until the switch is able to be wobbled out don't take the screw out as it is a pest to find if dropped The paint is on the side oppisit the switch cable entry to the lock If its the lock remove top yoke and drill out retaining bolts heads as there is no tool to remove only insert them Hope this helps

I think you're on the right track...make sure the butterfly valve for the choke isn't stuck!
The valve may be stuck even though the choke control is physically off.

Do you mean the steering lock? You should be able to push the key in while moving the bars a little until the key turns, if you mean the steering lock. You have to move the bars while gently turning the key to find the exact spot where the key will turn. Good luck...

no - it is not necessary to replace the bolts however it is necessary to tighten each bolt a little working across the face of the plate until all bolts are tight so as not to warp the case of the pressure plate torque specs may be found on the net ( google --type in pressure plate bolt torque)

Lessen the tension on the clutch cable ... see if that helps.

you have wet the ignition system , carefully use a hair dryer to dry it out and spray with WD40.

If you turned the engine off with the kill switch and not the ignition key the headlight will stay on.

I don't know the bike but I doubt it is much different in principle than many others. The first possibility to consider is whether any immobiliser is functioning properly and is being properly disarmed before attempting to start. The owner's handbook would be a good place to begin... Once you know the immobiliser is disarmed and power is flowing to the parts it is supposed to flow to, using the circuit diagram, the various supplies and grounds can be checked and using an oscilloscope check the output from the various sensors as applicable (crankshaft, camshaft). Even though the bike has never been outside it might not have been immune from the effects of damp and condensation that can defeat many moisture barriers.
