I think you're on the right track...make sure the butterfly valve for the choke isn't stuck!
The valve may be stuck even though the choke control is physically off.

Do you mean the steering lock? You should be able to push the key in while moving the bars a little until the key turns, if you mean the steering lock. You have to move the bars while gently turning the key to find the exact spot where the key will turn. Good luck...

Fuse for the headlights for 650 BMW 2008

On a 2008 BMW 650i, the fuse for the headlights is located in the fuse box under the hood. The specific fuse you need is Fuse #61, which is a 20-amp fuse located in the third row of fuses from the top. To access the fuse box, open the hood and locate the black plastic cover on the right side of the engine bay. There should be a diagram on the underside of the cover showing the layout of the fuses. Once you've found the correct fuse, you can use a fuse puller or a pair of needle-nose pliers to remove it from the fuse box. It's always a good idea to check the owner's manual for your specific vehicle to get the most accurate and up-to-date information on the location and function of the various fuses.

My 2003 BMW R1150RT won't start after it overheated, what would the problem be?

It depends on how hot it got and for how long? Holes in the pistons under the spark plugs. Burnt Exhaust Valves. Stuck Valves. First thing to do is to remove and visually inspect the spark plugs and then test for compression. Interesting reviews and on mentions burnt valves. https://www.motorcyclenews.com/bike-reviews/bmw/r1150rt/2001/ ..

2004 BMW R1150RS 7,700 Sat for 2 yr with some starting. No spark, bought coils and new plugs. Bike has never been in rain or outside.New battery. turns ovr nice. Please respond if you know this bike

I don't know the bike but I doubt it is much different in principle than many others. The first possibility to consider is whether any immobiliser is functioning properly and is being properly disarmed before attempting to start. The owner's handbook would be a good place to begin... Once you know the immobiliser is disarmed and power is flowing to the parts it is supposed to flow to, using the circuit diagram, the various supplies and grounds can be checked and using an oscilloscope check the output from the various sensors as applicable (crankshaft, camshaft). Even though the bike has never been outside it might not have been immune from the effects of damp and condensation that can defeat many moisture barriers. It isn't unusual for electronic unit and sensor terminals to become dull, oxide coated and a barrier to current flow...
