There are a couple of reasons the starter would just click when trying to start. The battery could be low or one of the connections could be corroded and not allowing full current to the starter motor.

Typically the flywheel is keyed to the crankshaft and cannot move without rotating the engine also. If the key is sheared then the flywheel can move without moving the crankshaft. To check this the flywheel needs to be removed and replace the key. Of course the reason for shearing of the key needs to be corrected before the problem is fixed.

you must have stripped the rod. if its really bad you will need to buy a new one but if you can just loosen it and but it back on right than i would just try that first and save some money

Check the oil level in the gearbox. The only thing that would make that kind of noise is a bearing going dry / bad. Use 10w40 motor oil in the gearbox. NEVER use synthetic oil. Synthetics can screw up the clutch.

Use 10w40 motor oil. Stick with the major brands; Pennzoil, Quaker State, Mobil or Shell.

You probably need a new clutch. That can explain why it bogs. The smoke I don't know.

did you replace the whole indictator assemblies or the bulbs and are they l.e.d indicators you have on it now and was it using l.e.d ones originally

Bad ground. Find the fault and fix it.

Try changing the spark plug first and clean the air filter.

Hi Bryan, it does sound like the battery, if it is a 12 Volt system, just connect a set of jumper leads from a 12 Volt battery, another bike car etc. and see if it makes a difference, i think you will find everything works fine with a new battery.

weak spark can indicate bad coil,,,correded wires,,,or grounding of the ignition circut,,in which case you would have No spark,,,simple things first,,,check your wired to the plugs,,some have removable plug caps,,and many times,,corression interferes with strong spark,,,coil testing must be done at a service provider,,,wires can be grounded,,expically if you have dumped the bike and the handle bars have be dissloged somewhat,,,check the kill switch for damage inside..

if 2 stroke then = all the way in and out 3/4 turn
if 4 stroke then = all the way in and out 2 turns

is the batt at 12v--are connections tite n no corrosion-the same goes for the wiring--is gas circulating to the motor--may need a repair book

Your bike may need new piston rings because of the over revs on the motor.Hope this helps

Replace the magneto/stator, CDI and voltage regulator/rectifier. Usually if one messes up they all go bad.

If there is a number on the lock itself, you might be able to get a key punched out.
A couple other things to do, take a 1/4 inch drill bit and drill out the lock, turn with screwdriver, should start right up, second, carefully take apart the bike, getting to the keyguard and remove the lock, then take the lock apart, get it re-keyed..

I would separate the feed wires from the fuse box/ distribution point and measure any current draw in the separate feeds. That will tell me instantly where the fault/leak is.

Normally white smoke is water in the combustion chamber but this is air cooled so either too much fuel, incorrect fuel or burning oil can cause this.
