Hi, Anonymous and the usual suspects are:
1. Fouled spark plugs.
2. Severely discharged or a damaged battery should have 12.5 volts or more and be able to pass a proper "LOAD" test if necessary, you may have a preliminary reading of 12.5 volts or more but little or zero amperage the battery is faulty and must be replaced, AGM batteries fail in this scenario more so than lead-acid batteries.
3. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
4. Loose connection at ignition coil or plug between ignition sensor and module.
5. Spark plug cables in bad condition, shorting/leaking, spark plug cable connections loose check for spark leakage in the dark.
6. Faulty ignition coil or electronic control module.
7. Faulty pulse coil.
8. Faulty CKP, CMP, or BAS sensor.
9. Faulty ignition switch.
10. Faulty run/off switch
11. Tilt sensor needs a reset.
12. Security alarm failing to disarm needs reset

Sounds like the carbs float chamber is low in gas!
Blowing everything out of the carbs is fine , but thn to reset and tune up is another question...involving valve clearance, spark plugs conditions /gap. Setting the air-mixture screw...
Can also be tht it has low compression on the cylinders.
Worth a try to tht other source of gas hook up whilst you there yourself.
Hope this helps!

In the long run... get an automatic chain oiler. You´ll have to clean your rear once in a while, but its much easier, than maintaining your chain. It´ll be cheaper, too. Oh, and your chain will last longer as well!

Could be a fuse or the ignition switch itself has shorted out. Check the fuses first.

check the ignition key switch is working , might have to dismantle it and make sure its making connections where it should !

Install new spark plugs and go easy on the throttle when starting. A power valve squirts extra gas every time the throttle is twisted. Twist too often when starting and the engine floods. Please rate my answer. Thanks!

Go to "Repair Manual".com and they have a very good service manual for the Mule. It's about 50 bucks but it's well worth the money. John

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

If all 4 have sparks and 1 cylinder is colder than the others, then it would be fuel starvation on that cylinder. Almost always, it would be a carb problem. The carbs would need to be pulled down, stripped & dis-assembled and all non-rubber parts soaked in carb cleaner. Particular attention/cleaning to the jets and all the small / pin holes. Note the number of turns on the air pilot screw. Ensure float works on all specially the one for the cylinder that is cold.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

Hi, Russell for this scenario you will need your service manual that has all fastener torque specs -fluid capacities and a wiring diagram on the back pages, parts fiche, and owners manual if you can not find the best tool you ever bought for your Kawasaki, despair not, for a mere zero $0 you can download another one.
