How to Remove 1986 450 Honda nighthawk seat? I used the key to unlock helmet lock, pulled up on lever and the seat unlocked. But it's not letting me pull and up to remove. Am I just too weak?

Yes I believe so. Just kidding. The rear of the seat should pull up slightly and you need to pull the seat to the rear. They can be a pain.

2002 honda 750 shadow ace not getting power to the starter. If I jump the starter relay it will start. And my headlight will not turn on. Normally it comes on when the key it turned on. Both problems started at the same time.

Starter switch can short and cause this issue

1985 Honda shadow VT 1100 started just shutting off .speed or rpm doesn't seem to matter did it once during a 2 hour ride and started shutting of more and more.I have owned bike since new and has been taken care off.I took bike to independent bike shop mechanic has decades of knowledge .he checed fuel and all electronicsorts I mean every wire had bike for weeks said there are three condenser one for each cylinder and one to run all three. Can't buy new only used before I spendo money looking for any help.

Also ignition components wearout n become hot..if runs ok when cool then thats proof. U mite want to inspect cooling system or put amsoil radiatorboost in to run coldr

My 06 shadow fuel filter was bypassed at the factory. ive never had the fuel system worked on. Can anyone tell me why?

Inspect n clean all ignition parts. If bike has kistartr..replace batt w acapacitor sold at harleyshops. No mor batt upkeep or failure. Bike will start lika lawnmower

Hi, I have 2007 Honda rincon max speed i can go is 26mph .i just replace fuel filter, air filter and plug. And still have the same problem .

Check speedo cable is in free flow. The check idle valve is correct..

2001 Honda Goldwing Motorcycle 1800 issues with the bike not turning off when key is in off position. Plus the emergency is off.

My 1999 honda shadow wont run, it will start then dies almost as fasst as it starts then wont start again ,i let it set then it will do it again

Things to check:
So we need three things for the engine to run,
1) Air
2) Fuel
3) Spark
Timing of these is essential and the assumption is that the timing is correct.

Sounds like you have two of three, air and spark however the fuel seems to be restricted. From the description it sounds like the engine runs until the fuel in the carburetors is gone then a trickle of fuel eventually fills then up over time.
Check that the fuel line flows enough fuel to keep up with the needed.

i have searched the web , as i'm sure you have to, and can not find anything relating to this issue, i would contact honda motorcyle dealer and either get them to do it or get a driver's manual or just live with it,sorry could'nt have been more helpful

My honda sh 125 anc does not get start immediatly even i give 10 to 20 second break and if get start once if i engine off then it does not start again and again

honda of that brand normal has problem of burning start ting coil,when the coil is hot it short and goes off,replace it.

Fork oil level Honda vfr 1200 xdrive

take a look at this youtube it is for swapping out the fork but he changes the seal so he has to refill it and then you see how to check the level. good luck.

2003 Honda Ruckus radiator spits coolant. Manual doesn't say anything about if this happens what to do or what will be the cause of this. It happens when riding it only for about 3 - 4 miles on road. Please help need to know what might be the cause on this. I have a big gun evo s Closed course exhaust. I love the ruckus but im not so familiar with it and how the engine, carb,radiator,etc. work all together. Example( the radiator controls what that helps or makes whatever do whatever).

The most likley cause of your problem is that the radiator fan is not running or turning on. Easy to check, run the bike untill the coolant bubbles out and listen for the fan. If you put your hand in front of the rad it should try to suck you hand toward it. If yhe fan is not running than you wither need a new fan or coolant temperature switch for the fan. It should be located in the head of the engine.

I have a 2011 Honda shadow phantom 750. Engine will not crank.. solinoid just clicks .. replaced battery with fully charged new.. Battery charge13.25 Load charge 5.6 when pushing start button Solinoid load 5.23 Relay switch starts at 12.5 goes to .23 when pushing the start button Don’t know if these numbers are good first time using a voltage meter, and the manual can’t find the specs Help please

Someone tried to steal my honda crf250 l,broken ignition barrelso no ignition barrel present,so can't start my bike how do I bypass ignition so can start it

The internal design of a motorcycle ignition switch is typically complex and often is at least two independent switches working together. Where electronic immobilisers are concerned there is sometimes an in-built resistance the system must "see" before it will work.

Bypassing the switch safely would not be easy even with a wiring diagram and truth table and I suggest you don't try.
