If the bike was idling OK when you ran it on the old gas, maybe the carbs were adjusted while the old gas was in the tank. The new gas could have cleaned the fuel system some and that's why your idle jumped. The fuel filter will definitely not cause your idle to go higher so no need to worry there.

check the coiles see if they have power there is also a resistor that could be bad if the coiles have power and get hot then its the resistor if there is no power to the coiles fallow the wires back to the bateries.
How do I bleed the
break loose the bleed nipple on the caliper. Open the reservoir at the brake lever and fill with fluid. Keep it open as it has a very small capacity and you will be re-filling it as you go along. Wait and see if it will gravity bleed out. If not, pull the brake lever and put your finger over the bleed when you release the lever- so it won't **** air back in. You should be able to feel the air bubbles "squish" out of the caliper. Continue till no air is left.Tighten up the caliper nipple and fill the res to the top and your done.
