Hi my names daniel ive

most of the times it is part of the fuel petcock. It would be more of a strainer then a filter. It is used to catch the larger particles that may be in the fuel. This usually requires no cleaning, unless you poured in really dirty fuel or your fuel tank has rust on the inside. Any sediment that makes it to the carb(s) is collected in the float bowl. You can drain this sediment by opening the float bowl drain screw. Use a screw driver of proper size as these screws are very soft. Draining of the float bowl should be done periodically.

Dont know how to replace starter switch

Instructions 1 Recognize the different sounds your car makes. A click usually means there is not enough current to start the car, while a whine usually means there is a misalignment. When you start to hear these noises when trying to start your car, you should speak to a mechanic to see if the starter needs replacing or can be rebuilt. 2 Check the battery first. A weak battery cannot turn the starter over. Also, clean any corrosion from the battery and make sure the grounding wire from the starter is connected. If the battery is at full strength, and you still only hear a clicking noise, then your starter needs replacing. 3 Turn on the headlights and crank the car. If your lights go out or dim when you turn the key, then you have a problem with the battery or power and not the actual starter. Your headlights remaining steady while your car clicks instead of turning over points to the starter. 4 Keep track of how often the car actually starts. If your car turns over and starts intermittently, but then does nothing at other times, you should recognize that as a problem with the starter. Sometimes tapping or shaking the ignition or starter can get your car going again, but you should replace the parts as soon as you get a chance. 5 Clean and rebuild a starter before replacing it. If you get the starter apart and any of the parts are corroded or cracked, you should invest in a rebuilt or new starter. Learn to recognize the difference between dirt and corrosion. Simple dirt and grime can be cleaned off with a wire brush. 6 Measure the amperage on the cable that runs from the battery to the starter using a multimeter. Under normal conditions, the starter should draw about one ampere per cubic inch of engine displacement (on large engines that means 200 or 200A). If the amp draw is too high or too low, then the starter needs to be replaced.

HOW TO CHANGE REGULATOR ON SYM 300

To change the regulator on a SYM 300, you will need to follow these steps:
  1. Turn off the engine and remove the key from the ignition.
  2. Locate the regulator, which is typically located near the battery. It will be a small box with wires coming out of it.
  3. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent electrical shock or damage.
  4. Unplug the wires from the regulator. There may be a plastic clip or tab that needs to be released to remove the connector.
  5. Remove any screws or bolts that are holding the regulator in place.
  6. Carefully remove the old regulator and discard it.
  7. Install the new regulator in the same position as the old one. Make sure it is securely in place.
  8. Reattach any screws or bolts that were removed and tighten them securely.
  9. Plug in the wires to the new regulator. Make sure they are connected correctly and securely.
  10. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
  11. Turn on the engine and test the new regulator to make sure it is functioning properly.
It is important to follow the manufacturer's instructions and safety guidelines when working on any vehicle. If you are not comfortable working on your SYM 300, it is recommended that you seek professional assistance.
